An update has emerged regarding the recent health condition of a beloved AEW star who had to be suddenly hospitalized last month. The talent in question is Killswitch, also known as Luchasaurus.

It was reported recently by Fightful that the former AEW TNT Champion's fiancée had discovered him collapsed in his home on September 27. The 39-year-old star was promptly taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with pneumonia. He was subsequently placed on oxygen due to his oxygen levels having fallen below the normal range.

During a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that Killswitch is expected to be on the shelf for at least a month, suggesting the possibility of a longer recovery. The report also claimed that the former Jurassic Express member had been dealing with illness prior to his hospitalization, which supposedly accounted for him not being featured on Dynamite and Collision Grand Slam 2024.

The California-born star was last seen in action at All In 2024, failing to hold on to the AEW World Trios Title for The Patriarchy, but later enabling The Patriarch, Christian Cage himself, to win the Casino Gauntlet Match for a guaranteed World Championship opportunity.

Marko Stunt opened up about AEW star Killswitch's health scare

Prior to his alliance with Christian Cage and The Patriarchy, Killswitch won over the hearts of AEW fans as a part of The Jurassic Express - going by the ring name Luchasaurus, alongside current TNT Champion Jack Perry (then going by Jungle Boy) and Marko Stunt.

The latter recently took to X/Twitter addressing Killswitch, following the former World Tag Team Champion's above-mentioned health scare, and voiced his gratitude towards his old stablemate for his support inside and outside of the squared circle.

"Whatever @luchasaurus has going on in his head right now, idk. But I’ll never forget the times he stuck his neck out for me, both in and outside the ring. Genuinely cared for and protected me. What happened dude? Don’t you remember everything?" he wrote.

Stunt returned to All Elite Wrestling in July 2024 to unsuccessfully challenge The Scapegoat for his TNT Title on Collision, nearly two years after being released by the company. He also had a backstage reunion with the erstwhile Luchasaurus after the bout.
