Jay White is currently out of action after being attacked by Christian Cage. However, that may have been a cover for legitimate injuries suffered by White in his match against 'Hangman' Adam Page earlier this month. A new report has shed some light on what's happening with the 31-year-old and his faction, the Bang Bang Gang.
Jay White led Bullet Club Gold to major success, unifying the AEW World Trios and ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championships at the Dynasty pay-per-view in April. However, the former NJPW star hasn't competed since his Owen Hart Foundation Tournament match against Adam Page on July 6.
Christian Cage later led an attack on White to write him off television, and the Bang Bang Gang (formerly Bullet Club Gold) was stripped of the Trios titles by temporary EVP, Christopher Daniels after attempting to defend them under the Freebird rule. They tried to get the gold back but lost to Cage and The Patriarchy on the most recent episode of AEW Collision.
Many fans thought that White's hiatus could be part of a storyline, but according to a new report from Fightful Select, his injury is legitimate. It's unclear how badly he's injured, but it looks like he may be on the shelf for a while.

Meanwhile, the story isn't over for White's faction. Fightful notes that there is more to come for the Bang Bang Gang as their rivalry with The Patriarchy and loss of Jay White unfolds.
Jay White's faction sends a message to The Patriarchy
Juice Robinson and the Gunns may have lost the AEW Trios World Championship, but they aren't just going to roll over for Christian Cage and his Patriarchy stable.
On the July 13 episode of Collision, Austin Gunn sent a message of defiance to the villainous group and came up with several creative insults for Cage, Nick Wayne, Mama Wayne, and Killswitch (fka Luchasaurus):
"It's cool, it's cool, you think the Bang Bang Gang is scared of a guy with a father fetish, a six-year-old TikTok kid, a stepmom from Br****rs, and the lizard?" he said.
Now, without their leader, it's up to Robinson and the Gunn brothers to avenge this collective loss. Whether they'll be able to prevail over their rivals remains to be seen.
