A WWE Hall of Famer is reportedly “banged up” ahead of his return at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door III. This will no doubt be worrisome for the fans.

The star in question is none other than Jim Ross. JR has been keeping his fans updated about problems with his health over the past few months. He was admitted to the hospital a few times but it did not turn out to be anything serious.

Fightful Select has now reported that he has been battling health issues of late and that they have been informed that he was banged up even as he was traveling for the show. They also noted that the WWE Hall of Famer primarily works for pay-per-views, given the ongoing issues with his health.

It has been a while since the WWE Hall of Famer has worked on commentary for the weekly shows and this report could probably explain why. It will be great to see him back on commentary today at the show and it will be interesting to see how he performs.
