WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams on future main roster call up
NXT moved to the CW Network a couple of weeks ago which saw the company take the developmental brand to Chicago and St. Louis. On the first episode of NXT on CW, Trick Williams defeated Ethan Page to win the NXT Championship.
In a recent interview on Insights with Chris Van Vliet, Trick Williams spoke about a potential main roster call up. The WWE NXT Champion said he thinks about the move all the time but is happy to be a part of NXT. Williams then put over the brand for its recent TV deal:
"I think about it all the time, but I'm happy where my feet are. I mean, NXT is on fire right now, arguably one of the better times NXT has ever seen. So with that, I'm proud to be here. I'm proud to be the face of NXT. Why are we going to CW? Why we got the biggest TV deal NXT has ever gotten, why we're doing this traveling and stuff now. I'm part of it, and it feels good to say, hey, we party something special here," Williams said. [H/T - CVV]
Trick Williams won his second NXT Title on the show's CW Network debut. It will be interesting to see how long he manages to hold it.
