If recent reports are anything to go by, WWE seems keen on hiring a current AEW star once his contract expires. The said performer is Malakai Black whose All Elite Wrestling deal is rumored to expire sometime next year.

Though Black has achieved considerable success in AEW over the last few years, many have been disappointed with a lack of singles opportunities for him. As such, speculations have been rife about the former NXT Champion packing his bags and returning to WWE sometime down the line. A recent report by Raj Giri mentioned how Malakai Black's deal with Tony Khan's company could end in early 2025.

Now, Dr. Chris Featherstone of Sportskeeda Wrestling is reporting that there's a lot of interest in WWE to bring back Black. It was noted that he was expected to get a major push if he were to return to the Stamford-based promotion. Furthermore, he added that backstage, many in the company were also rooting for his blockbuster return.

Malakai Black is currently the leader of House of Black in AEW, alongside Buddy Matthews, Brody King, and Julia Hart, and is currently sidelined with injury. His last singles match came at Double or Nothing 2024, where he lost to Adam Copeland.
