Nuufolau Joel Seanoa, professionally known as Samoa Joe is an American Professional Wrestler and Actor currently signed with AEW and its sister promotion ROH. Joe started his professional wrestling training in 1999 and got trained by Cincinnati Red, Johnny Hemp and John Delayo.

Joe soon got signed to WWE’s affiliate developmental territory Ultimate Pro Wrestling the following year, where he was the longest reigning UPW Heavyweight Champion of all time. Joe then moved to Japan to wrestle for Pro Wrestling Zero-One, where he adopted King Joe gimmick, but left after being asked to adopt more gimmick characters.

Joe then moved to ROH, he had a six year long first run with the company and was the ROH World Champion. Joe has been featured in a number of 5 star matches in the company and evolved himself as a popular wrestler.

In 2005, Joe entered TNA and made his home with a decade long wrestling history. He was undefeated for eighteen months and lost his first match against Angle. Joe was on the peak of his career in TNA, where he won TNA Television Championship once, TNA World Heavyweight Championship once, TNA World Tag Team Championship twice, TNA X Division Championship five times and so on. He was the third TNA Grand Slam Champion, and the Third Triple Crown Champion.

In 2015 Joe signed a contract with WWE and made his debut at the NXT brand, where he confronted Kevin Owens to stop him attacking Sami Zayn. Joe became the face of the NXT with an impressive run and became the NXT Champion twice. Joe was then called for the main event, where he attacked Seth Rollins on his main roster debut. Joe then feuded with top wrestlers and had multiple pursuits for the world champion, but came short. Which made him into the mid-card, where he became the two times United States Champion. Joe had multiple injuries which became a great obstacle for his career and finally got released in 2022.

Joe entered AEW and returned to ROH almost at the same time as a part of AEW’s acquisition. He soon became the ROH Television Champion and TNT Championship. He claims himself as the “King of Television” and is currently wrestling there.

Samoa Joe stands at a height of six foot two inches tall (6’2” ft) which is 188 Centimeters in length. He weighs around 310 pounds (lbs), which is 141 kilograms. Although having a three hundred pound bodyweight, he is flexible to perform overhead kicks. Joe is a submission specialist, where he chokes his opponent for the win for which he is referred as “Submission Machine”.
