Former AEW World Champion Samoa Joe has been off television to film the second season of Twisted Metal. The season has finished filming which could mean Joe's return will happen soon. The Samoan Submission Machine could show up and join Jon Moxley's Death Riders faction.
Jon Moxley kicked out Bryan Danielson from the Blackpool Combat Club and recently renamed the group The Death Riders. The faction consists of Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta, and Marina Shafir. The destructive nature of all five stars could make Samoa Joe fit right in the faction as Joe himself is one of the most dominant wrestlers in AEW.
However, another twist could take place if Samoa Joe aligns with the babyface team to take down The Death Riders. The team could consist of stars like Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, and more. A strong babyface like Samoa Joe might put AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and The Death Riders in jeopardy.
Jon Moxley recently spoke on brutalizing the AEW roster
Jon Moxley and The Death Riders are causing havoc in the All Elite Wrestling locker room. The faction has taken out Private Party, Chuck Taylor, and more. Orange Cassidy will try to put a stop to Moxley's brutality at the Full Gear PPV event later this month.
In a recent interview with the New York Post, Jon Moxley claimed that he isn't beating up any ordinary wrestlers and called himself the guy who is standing up for the All Elite locker room.
“I’m beating the s–t out of a lot of guys, you know, I’m talking a lot of s–t, but in no way am I beating up a bunch of lazy kids, like, I’m you know, Clint Eastwood on the lawn, or something like that,” Moxley said. “In no way is it like that. I’m an advocate for these people, and maybe the only guy standing up for these guys in the locker room.” [H/T - New York Post]
We will have to wait and see if Jon Moxley retains the World Title against Orange Cassidy at Full Gear.
