The men's division could also use a heel to put up against big shots like Kenny Omega and Orange Cassidy. The Fiend could have a better reception in AEW than his previous appearance.

The Fiend was one of the most popular wrestling personalities being followed by the audience. His return has a high chance of being welcomed by a majority of fans.

Although The Fiend was created very thoughtfully and proved to be a major success, his character suffered later on due to poor management. A number of bad bookings and constant losses in matches reduced the importance and impact of his character.

Further down the line, the conflict regarding creative choices regarding his character led to Wyatt's less than desirable departure.
