The Hurt Syndicate officially formed in AEW after Bobby Lashley debuted on the 30th October episode of Dynamite and assaulted Swerve Strickland. Since then, MVP has been vocal about adding more members to the group.

For several weeks, MVP has handed his business card to several talented backstage performers who have impressed him. However, he has not yet added another member to the group. This could all change at AEW World's End. Powerhouse Hobbs has been involved in a feud with the Don Callis Family. Hobbs was part of the group but after Don Callis forgot about him, he rebelled against the stable.

At World's End, Hobbs will face Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship. The former TNT Champion will look to win his second title in the company and The Hurt Syndicate could help him accomplish this goal. MVP's group is hell-bent on establishing itself as a dominant fashion and what better way to do that than by taking out another top faction.

Fans have been interested in Hobbs potentially joining MVP's faction. Even wrestling legend Mark Henry expressed interest in seeing the former TNT Champion join the group during a recent edition of the Busted Open Radio podcast:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"I think that [Powerhouse] Hobbs is tailor made for the Hurt Syndicate. Recruit him, bring him in, and tell him 'Look, you might be facing one of us. We want to dominate the business, we want to corner the market.' Let MVP talk that talk...You win, you lose some. You shake hands, the Hurt Syndicate keeps getting bigger."

Bobby Lashley claimed that Swerve Strickland wants to join The Hurt Syndicate

As soon as MVP debuted in AEW, he tried to recruit Swerve Strickland. However, he was turned down by the former AEW World Champion. This kickstarted a feud between Swerve and the Hurt Syndicate which culminated in a match between the former and Bobby Lashley at Full Gear 2024. Although Lashley dominantly won that bout, Swerve indicated that he is not done with The All Mighty as he confronted him at the All In Countdown to On Sale event recently. However, Lashley has another theory as to why Swerve confronted him.

Speaking on Sports Guys Talk Wrestling, The All Mighty claimed that Strickland wanted another chance to join their group but they might not give him another chance:

"He wants another opportunity to be a part of the Hurt Syndicate. We just don’t know if we’re gonna give it to him. So whatever he’s trying to do, I said, hey man, we’re gonna put an ad on Indeed and a couple of the other sites, and you can apply. We’ll look at your application and see if you have the ability to be in it. But right now, the answer’s no [laughs]."

It will be interesting to see if we will get to see another match between these two stars.
