MVP formed The Hurt Syndicate alongside Shelton Benjamin in AEW following his debut in September 2024. Bobby Lashley soon joined his former Hurt Business stablemate, and they have been vocal about their mission statement to dominate the roster.

While Caster and Anthony Bowens have been successful in the past, they have been having issues lately since Bowens learned that Caster kept MVP's business card instead of throwing it away. Caster could either attack Bowens from behind or just walk away in the middle of the match and allow Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to pick apart his tag team partner.
