AEW President Tony Khan could be forced to cancel a huge match involving current world champion Jon Moxley after massive fan outrage on social media. Khan has already made the big match official on social media.

Last Saturday on AEW Collision, The Learning Tree and Rated FTR got into a brawl after the main event. Later, The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, and Marina Shafir) and The Outrunners also got involved, as Jon Moxley surprisingly showed up and took out Cope (FKA Edge). To make things more chaotic, Powerhouse Hobbs also showed up and forced Moxley to retreat.

Following up on what happened on Collision last Saturday, Tony Khan announced a 12-man tag team match for Collision: Maximum Carnage later this week on X. Rated FTR, The Outrunners, and Powerhouse Hobbs will take on The Death Riders and The Learning Tree. The match announcement has been met with severe backlash on social media.

Well, the match doesn't make sense because Moxley and The Death Riders teaming up with Chris Jericho and The Learning Tree would be counterproductive to what the faction believes in, and it goes against their cause to join forces with some other group, as Moxley and Co. have been trying to take over the company by taking out everyone.

Therefore, after facing massive backlash for the 12-man tag team match announcement for Collision: Maximum Carnage, Tony Khan could pivot and cancel the match to win back fans' faith in the product. However, this is speculative at this point.

Jon Moxley is set to defend his AEW World Championship this week

This Wednesday on Dynamite: Maximum Carnage, Jon Moxley is slated to defend his AEW World Title against Powerhouse Hobbs.

The Embodiment of Willpower won the Men's Casino Gauntlet Match last Wednesday to earn a shot at The Purveyor of Violence's title.

Powerhouse Hobbs has been booked as a dominant force ever since his return from injury last November. It remains to be seen if he manages to capture the AEW World Title this Wednesday.
