AEW President Tony Khan reportedly has something huge planned for 2025. Recent reports have indicated that the All Elite Wrestling Chief might bring a major event to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex in Texas, and sources have hinted that it could be a stadium show at par with "AEW's biggest event."
If the Jacksonville-based promotion is indeed hosting a pay-per-view as big as All In, it would have to be held at AT&T Stadium, the site of WrestleMania 32 and 38. And if that's the case, who better to make an appearance at the event than the man called Sting?
The Stinger officially retired following his final match at AEW Revolution earlier this year. It was a storybook ending for The Icon, who went out on top alongside his partner and protege, Darby Allin. However, the WWE Hall of Famer happens to live just outside the DFW metroplex, so a trip to Arlington for such a major event would be an easy one.

There are still plenty of things Sting can do in All Elite Wrestling, and Tony Khan should go all out to bring The Icon in for what could be his company's first stadium pay-per-view on American soil.
Sting could provide a final push for his protege, Darby Allin
Sting made it clear shortly after signing with All Elite Wrestling that he wasn't interested in a singles run. The legendary star was apprehensive about doing too much in the ring due to his age, but those fears quickly vanished as he began taking major risks in his matches.
Still, Sting stuck closely to Darby Allin. The two were undefeated as a tag team throughout The Icon's tenure, while he also served as a mentor to the younger star. He was there for many of Darby's TNT Championship defenses, providing moral support and backup whenever his partner needed it.
Allin is now making his way as a singles star once again, and he could aim for the main event scene. If the face-painted star gets anywhere near the AEW World Championship picture, he might need someone to watch his back. Sting could make his grand return, even if it's a one-off appearance, in order to help his protege at the rumored Dallas event.
The Icon could become an authority figure
Despite the grand spectacle of his retirement, AEW fans were not ready to say goodbye to The Icon. Many have expressed hope that he returns someday in a non-wrestling capacity, be it as a coach or an authority figure on television.
Sting is a bonafide legend of the wrestling industry, and he's amassed huge experience over his three-decade-plus career in NWA, WCW, TNA, WWE, and AEW. If he chose to come back to Tony Khan's promotion, he could continue to share his knowledge with a new generation.
The WWE Hall of Famer doesn't have to compete in the ring anymore, but he could still make his presence felt in All Elite Wrestling. Fans would welcome him back, and many young talents would benefit from his guidance.
AEW could induct Sting into its Hall of Fame
Sting is currently a member of the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame, TNA Hall of Fame, and WWE Hall of Fame. That's quite a resume, but he's still got one more accolade coming his way.
It's clear that The Icon will be inducted into the AEW Hall of Fame whenever Tony Khan feels the time is right to introduce it. Even Kenny Omega believes that The Stinger deserves one of the first inductions, and many fans would likely agree.
It's unknown when the Jacksonville-based promotion will unveil its own Hall of Fame, but if the company does indeed host a pay-per-view event in a stadium next year, it might be a good time to usher in the first round of inductees, which would likely include Brodie Lee, Jay Briscoe, and Sting himself.
The Icon was the first-ever inductee into TNA's Hall of Fame. He might well be the first inducted into All Elite Wrestling's Hall of Fame as well.
