An Original AEW star could pull a major twist and betray his babyface team in order to join Jon Moxley and The Blackpool Combat Club. The star has teased doing the same on multiple occasions in the past.
The AEW star in question is Orange Cassidy. Cassidy has been an All Elite original and he has been with the company since its inception in 2019. Throughout his run in the promotion, Cassidy has been a babyface and a fan favorite as well. He is currently involved in a storyline with Jon Moxley and his faction.
The Freshly Squeezed has been seemingly leading the charge for The Conglomeration, Private Party, and Dark Order in an attempt to stop Moxley and The BCC. However, there have been hints that Cassidy might pull off a major twist and join forces with Mox and his group instead of stopping them.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Last Saturday on Battle of the Belts 12, Orange Cassidy shockingly walked out on Dark Order while they were getting attacked by the heel faction. Furthermore, this past Wednesday on Dynamite, Moxley attacked Cassidy's friend Chuck Taylor and The BCC took him out with a chair on his neck but Orange showed up too late to save him.
Although it could be a coincidence, BCC didn't even attack Cassidy before leaving which could be another hint that The Freshly Squeezed will turn heel for the first time in AEW.
Former WWE Superstar says Jon Moxley is AEW's MVP
The former WWE Superstar and the current TNA World Champion, Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler) claims that Jon Moxley has been AEW's MVP since the company started. Speaking on the Busted Open Radio, Nemeth stated the following:
"They could be alluding to somebody 'higher power' or something, but I really think it's just we're getting a reset," he opined. "Absolute MVP of AEW since they started is Moxley. They go back to him — when in doubt, go back to him."
Henceforth, only time will tell what Tony Khan has in store for Moxley and company in this ongoing storyline.
