Jon Moxley has dominated the entire AEW roster along with the unstoppable force he assembled recently. Since becoming the AEW World Champion at the WrestleDream 2024 Pay-Per-View, he ambushed multiple stars who stood in the Death Riders' way.
Recently, Jon Moxley successfully defended his title against Orange Cassidy at the Full Gear 2024 Pay-Per-View. His reign of terror may not end soon as the Death Riders have stood beside him so far. Despite being a powerful stable, they have not been able to overcome a top AEW star. That would be Darby Allin.
The Relentless star has been after Jon Moxley and his crew for a couple of months now. His urge to take down the Death Riders increased when they took out Bryan Danielson. He even tried to take down the stable by crashing his car on their pickup truck but the plan failed. According to certain reports, it was suggested that the 31-year-old star is soon to become the new AEW World Champion.
AEW recently held a massive event to promote All In: Texas on July 12, 2025. The tickets went on sale yesterday with top stars being present on the show. Stars like Bryan Danielson, Sting, Bobby Lashley, and many more attended the event. During the program, Darby Allin revealed that he will be hoisting the AEW flag on Mount Everest, which he will be climbing in April 2025 ahead of the show.
With the former TNT Champion taking a leave of absence due to his adventure, it is unlikely that Darby will become the AEW World Champion.
Darby Allin was scheduled to climb Mount Everest this year
Darby Allin was training to conquer the Mount Everest this year. However in March, he injured his foot during his contest against Jay White, which postponed the plans. A couple of months later when he was recovering, he got hit by a bus and sustained an injury to the nose.
Darby Allin announced that he will complete the quest in April 2025 during the All In: Texas special event yesterday.
Jon Moxley has too many opponents lined up right now
Darby Allin was the frontrunner to win the AEW World Championship since August. However, it seems like Jon Moxley's involvement in the story has caused a major shift in the title picture. While the former TNT Champion is feuding with the Death Riders, he may not be the protagonist as of now.
Jay White, "Hangman" Adam Page, and Orange Cassidy have been troubling Moxley since Full Gear 2024. They may be the top contenders for the AEW World Championship and could even wrestle in a Four-way match.
Sting is certain Darby Allin will become AEW World Champion
Darby Allin and Sting teamed up during the final stages of the latter's AEW career. The duo even captured the AEW World Tag Team Championship this year.
The Icon made a surprise appearance at All In: Texas media event yesterday. During the event, he claimed that the Relentless star could win the AEW World Championship at All In 2025.
"Sometime in 2025, I am predicting this is the future AEW World Champion right here. Who knows? Maybe you’ll be World Champion at Globe Life [Field], 2025, at All In," Sting said.
It will be interesting to see if Darby Allin manages to defeat Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship in the future.
