#2 AEW star Jon Moxley
AEW star Jon Moxley has reinvented himself since leaving WWE. In the latter promotion, his storylines involving The Shield and Triple H's The Authority are some of their best works.
Although his departure from his former WWE was on less than pleasant terms, Triple H does not hold Mox in contempt. The Game even extended a helping hand when Jon was injured in 2019, sources say:
“Even when Jon left, there was times that Hunter [Triple H] pulled me aside because Jon was injured when he came back from New Japan,” Paquette said. “Hunter kept checking in to make sure that Jon was okay. If he needed anything, they [WWE] would have been able to help him in any kind of capacity."
Given how often Triple H has proven to care for Jon Moxley, there can be no argument about Triple H being a fan of the AEW megastar.
#1 AEW star CM Punk
Similar to Triple H, CM Punk has proven himself to be one of the greatest of all time. After his exit from WWE, the Straight Edge Superstar found fresh ground in AEW. Since then, he has maintained a winning streak while working with up-and-coming talents.
The on-stage interactions between CM Punk and Triple H have always been a treat to watch. Both these men have deep respect for each other, and Triple H wanted Punk to re-sign with WWE:
"Last time I talked to (Punk)? A year and a half, a year and three quarters ago. A funny thing that people will constantly will say when his return is, but in some way, that has to be what he wants. People go, 'make the call.' Who says if we make the call that he wants to answer? What if we make the call and he's like, 'I'm not interested in doing that anymore.' Maybe he's just done with it," Triple H said.
Triple H would love to acquire 'The Best in the World' back to WWE, but Punk has found his ground in AEW for now. Nevertheless, the professional relationship between the duo remains intact.
