The second edition of the AEW Continental Classic Tournament (C2) is now in its second week and has instantly become the main attraction of the promotion. Here is a brief run-down on the rules of the tournament.

Similar to last year's tournament, the C2 features 12 of the company's top stars divided into two leagues. As this is a round-robin tournament, each competitor will face all members of their respective league once, so each star will end up having five matches throughout their time entered in the tournament. These matches are spread throughout this month's weekly shows.

Each match has normal rules, but they will all have a 20-minute time limit, with everyone being banned from ringside. A win will give a competitor three points, while a draw of any sort will grant each wrestler 1 point.

The top two per league will advance to the semi-finals, which will take place this year at AEW Worlds End on December 28. There, the first-place talent from the blue and gold leagues will face the runner-up from the opposite league to determine the finalists. The finals will also be taking place on the same night, and the Continental Championship will be on the line.

Who leads each league of the AEW Continental Classic Tournament?

The first week of matchups has come to an end, with several upsets and dominant feats taking place.

In the Gold League, Claudio Castagnoli, Brody King, and Will Ospreay have earned wins, putting them at the top with three points apiece. Ricochet, Darby Allin, and Komander (filling in for the injured Juice Robinson) are at the bottom of the league.

In the Blue League, Shelton Benjamin and Kyle Fletcher are at the top after defeating Mark Briscoe and The Beast Mortos, respectively. Kazuchika Okada and Daniel Garcia remain in the middle of the group as they both have one point following a time-limit draw between them.

Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite will feature each league's undefeated stars facing off, which will be a crucial decider for the top spots in the Gold and Blue Leagues. It remains to be seen which stars will brave the storm and win the second annual Continental Classic.
