Keith Lee is one of AEW's top stars. Unfortunately, he has been absent from TV since December 2023.

After making a name for himself in WWE, the Limitless star debuted at the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2022. What could have been a tremendous run turned out to be underwhelming. However, the highest point of his tenure came when he teamed up with Swerve Strickland and held the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Eventually, the duo turned on each other, and their friendship became a rivalry. They were slated to face each other at Worlds End Pay-Per-View; however, Keith Lee was pulled from the match ahead of the show for unrevealed medical reasons.

Several weeks following the event, Keith provided a worrying update about his health. He stated that he would be undergoing double surgeries for unrevealed injuries.

"Took roughly 19 years.... but I guess it's my turn," he writes. "Time to get fixed. Here's to double surgeries. Certainly one way to start 2024."

The former WWE Superstar is seemingly healing from his injuries. Only time will tell when the 39-year-old star may return to AEW, as he hasn't been seen for five months.

Keith Lee recently thanked fans amidst his absence

The Limitless star took to Twitter and thanked fans who contacted him privately and publicly.

"I don't spend a lot of time with social media these days. But I wanted to make sure I popped on here to give thanks to many of you... The ones who reach out privately. The ones who tweet publicly. The ones who share positive things. I see you. I thank you. I appreciate you," wrote Lee.

No update has been provided on his return to the company as of now. Only time will tell when Keith Lee will make his much-awaited return to the ring.
