AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 Match Card

The match card for the show is stacked, with multiple Championship matches and the first round of a championship tournament.

Zack Sabre Jr. will meet Orange Cassidy in a non-title match. Former World Champion MJF will lock horns with Hechicero in a non-title match. Several members of the roster will be in attendance, as two Trios matches are set up.

Chris Jericho and Big Bill, the Learning Tree will match up with Samoa Joe, Hook, and Katsuyori Shibata in a Trios match. The Elite, comprising Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, and Kazuchika Okada will face Scissor Ace, comprising Anthony Bowens, Max Caster, and Hiroshi Tanahashi in another.

Apart from these, the pay-per-view will see championship action. Toni Storm faces off against Mina Shirakawa for the Women's World Championship, Luther and Maria May will be at ringside, and May will support both participants.

A Winner Takes All Match is also set up, which sees the current TBS Champion clash with Stephanie Vaquer, the current NJPW Strong Women's Championship.

The vacant TNT Championship will see Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Briscoe, Jack Perry, Dante Martin, Lio Rush, and El Phantasmo try to capture it.

In a tag team match, Kris Statlander and Momo Watanabe will face Willow Nightingale and Tam Nakano.

AEW's Bryan Danielson will look to defeat Shingo Takagi in the Men's Owen Hart Cup Tournament first-round match and has expressed his thoughts about that match.

Fellow BCC Member Jon Moxley will face Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Meanwhile, Swerve Strickland will face Will Ospreay in a singles match for the AEW World Championship.
