In 2007, a WWE Hall of Famer got involved in a backstage altercation with current AEW star, Samoa Joe. The legend explained how the fight broke out due to his friend getting insulted.

More than a year ago, WWE legend, Kevin Nash disclosed how he once got into a backstage fight with the former AEW World Champion, Samoa Joe during their time in TNA. In September 2007, Joe came out on live TV and cut a shoot promo where he elevated the young talent of the company while also taking a shot at the late great, Scott Hall.

The Samoan Submission Machine called Scott Hall a punk during his promo as well. Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash revealed how he smacked Joe in the face backstage after his live promo. Nash revealed the following:

“I walked up to him and asked him, ‘What the **** was that? Was that from Russo or yours?’ He smirked and said, ‘That was mine.’ So I ******* open-hand smacked him.”

Nash further recalled that he smacked Joe for disrespecting his friend, Scott Hall but Joe didn't do anything in return:

"Was it a hissy fit? I smacked someone in the face twice. I said, ‘Don’t disrespect me, and don’t disrespect Scott.’ When [Samoa] Joe got up, I thought he was going to come at me, so I smacked him in the head again, and he didn’t do anything." [H/T ProWrestlingStories]

The WWE legend, Kevin Nash also revealed that after their backstage altercation, Samoa Joe apologized to him for his actions the next day. Nash revealed the following about what went down:

"The next day, Joe apologized in front of the whole crew. That’s a hissy fit on my part? I mean, Joe and I are friends, but you’re not going to be disrespectful to me." [H/T ProWrestlingStories]

However, both Nash and Joe sorted things out like professionals in the end and only time will tell if the two would be seen working together again.
