A WWE Hall of Famer could end his in-ring career against Christian Cage after capturing the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley. The veteran recently expressed his desire to win the World Title.

The WWE veteran in question, Jeff Jarrett, recently announced that he has signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling. He also said winning the AEW World Championship was his main goal. Jarrett got a chance to earn the right to challenge for the gold by winning the Casino Gauntlet this past Wednesday.

The Last Outlaw failed to emerge victorious. Nonetheless, the 57-year-old veteran could come close to the AEW World Title in his final run. Assuming Double J manages to challenge Jon Moxley for the title at some point, Tony Khan could shock the world by booking Jarrett to dethrone Moxley.

Even if Jarrett captures the AEW World Title from Moxley with the help of some babyfaces, the reign is not likely to last long. Christian Cage could immediately ruin a wholesome moment by cashing in his World Title contract that he won at All In 2024 and capturing the gold from the Hall of Famer.

The abovementioned angle could lead to a one-on-one match between Christian Cage and Jeff Jarrett. They could have a career vs. title match, where The Patriarch could end Jarrett's in-ring career.

Jon Moxley will defend the AEW World Title on Dynamite

Last Wednesday on Dynamite, a Casino Gauntlet match took place to determine the number one contender for the AEW World Championship. Powerhouse Hobbs managed to outclass seven other men to win the contest and earn a title opportunity.

Powerhouse Hobbs is now slated to challenge Moxley for the AEW World Title on Dynamite: Maximum Carnage, which will take place on January 15.

Jon Moxley has overcome multiple challengers since winning the World Title with the help of The Death Riders. It remains to be seen whether Hobbs manages to dethrone The One True King on Wednesday.
