Shadeau Brain has been named in the squad for Brisbane Lions' Round 15 clash with the Port Adelaide Power on Saturday, June 22. The Lions welcome the Power to Adelaide Oval, and Brain would look to make a mark in the mouthwatering encounter.
The young defender was called up to the senior team as a replacement for Noah Answerth, who is sidelined for the next four to six weeks with an acute shoulder dislocation. Brain, has been listed as an interchange alongside Kai Lohmann, Jaspa Fletcher, Zac Bailey, and Darcy Wilmot.
Shadeau Brain was drafted in 2022 and made his AFL debut in Round 9 this season against Adelaide, coming off the bench to register three marks and four disposals in a 90-90 tie. He also featured in his side's Round 10 victory over Richmond the following week, making it two senior team appearances on the bounce. Brain is now set to make his third appearance of the season.
Brisbane has made only one change to the side for Saturday's clash. Meanwhile, veteran midfielder Jarryd Lyons, ruck-forward Darcy Fort, and defender Darragh Joyce are the three emergencies for the Round 15 clash.
The Lions will hope to make it three wins in a row as they push for a place in the playoff spots.
