IPL 2023 points table: Updated standings after Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals match

Rajasthan Royals have moved up to the fifth position in the IPL 2023 points table after winning their final league match of the season. The Jaipur-based franchise have kept their playoffs hopes alive by defeating the Punjab Kings last night at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.

Punjab Kings needed two wins in their Dharamshala leg to keep their playoffs hopes alive. However, the Mohali-based franchise lost both their matches against the Delhi Capitals and the Rajasthan Royals. They have ended the league stage with six wins in 14 matches.

PBKS remain eighth in the standings after the loss against RR. If the Delhi Capitals beat the Chennai Super Kings by a decent margin today, Punjab may even slip to the ninth position.

Rajasthan Royals have moved above Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023 points table

Rajasthan Royals recorded their seventh win of the league stage. They bounced back after their embarrassing loss against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium and defeated the Punjab Kings.

RR's net run rate has also improved from +0.140 to +0.148. The Royals had to chase the 187-run target inside 18 overs to overtake the fourth-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2023 points table. However, RR took 19.4 overs to complete the run-chase and only jumped one spot.
