BREAKING: Jake Paul signs with the PFL for MMA career

Former Disney channel star turned boxer Jake Paul has recently announced a multi-year deal to compete in and help promote the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

'The Problem Child' now owns equity in the organization and is set to compete in a new division, Super Fight. According to sources, the new weight class has been made for already established names that can draw big numbers to the organization, and not for those looking to win titles.

Jake Paul will see this latest move as his own middle finger to Dana White and the UFC, after being highly critical of the organization in recent years due to his gripes with their fighter pay.

The 25-year-old has also confirmed his desire to compete in 2023 but as of yet an opponent has not been confirmed or whether it will take place inside the squared circle or octagon.

Boxing promoter Frank Warren recently discussed the likelihood of Jake Paul and Tommy Fury finally meeting inside the boxing ring to compete.

A bout between the pair has fallen through on multiple occasions, the first in 2021 due to a mix of injury/illness for Fury and the second in 2022 due to Fury's inabilty to enter the United States.

Tommy Fury and boxers like him are the reason this sport started to die. Tommy, you have 24 hours to fix this.

According to Warren, both parties are in discussions for the fight to finally take place and as things stand are confident that once again a deal will be struck. In an interview with IFL TV, Frank Warren stated:

“It’s a life changing money fight for [Tommy] and obviously he wants it. It was on, then he couldn’t get into the States which was a problem. But we’ll get it on, we’re really determined to make it happen. All sides are really good on getting it over the line. We will get it over the line.”

Due to Paul's latest deal with the PFL, it's unclear whether a potential future bout with 'TNT' will be affected or if it's on the cards at all.
