Demetrious Johnson determined to ‘keep the belt’ in Seattle
Reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson has no intention of letting go of the world championship belt and is dead-set to keep it with him in Seattle.
The world champion from the state of Washington stakes the division gold in a trilogy fight against former world champion Adriano Moraes at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5.
It will be ONE Championship’s first-ever live on-ground event in the United States and will take place at 1stBank Center in Colorado.
Demetrious Johnson will try to successfully defend the belt he took from Brazilian Adriano Moraes last August and take the lead in their head-to-head series, which currently stands at one win apiece.

‘Mighty Mouse’ told FOX 13 Seattle in an interview that he is training hard in the lead-up to his upcoming title showdown and that in no way will he surrender his world title:
“I lost the first time by knockout, then knocked him out the second time, and here we go again for a third. I’m training my butt off. I’m ready to go out there and keep the belt here in Seattle.”

Considered by many as one of the greatest mixed martial arts fighters of all time, Demetrious Johnson has been virtually unstoppable since he made the move to join ONE in 2019.
He has won five of his six fights to date in the promotion, which has also seen him get hold of the ONE flyweight World Grand Prix title first and then the ONE flyweight world championship.
Johnson-Moraes III is one of three world title fights on tap for ONE Fight Night 10. The other world championship fights are between ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Mexican challenger Edgar Tabares, and ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci against Osamah Almarwai of Yemen.
ONE Fight Night 10 will be aired live and for free to all North American fans with an active Prime Video subscription.
