5 useful summer fashion hacks that will change your life
The summer season is just around the corner, and we have all been waiting for it impatiently. It's time for the hot season breaks, brunches and picnics in the park, and to wear colorful clothing.
People have to face excessive sweating, oily skin, and, of course, dry hair ends. However, these problems shouldn't stop you from keeping your fashion game on top or from going out.
Summer clothing can be countered with a few simple hacks, a lifesaver for those bothered by over-heating problems.
Five awesome fashion hacks for summer
1) Turning scarves into sleeves for protection
In this video, a lady uses the hack to turn a scarf into a quarter-length sleeve. During the hot season, people must protect themselves from UV rays and tanning. They should cover themselves up, but covering with full sleeves tees can also lead them to heat up or sweat.
A perfect solution for this problem would be tying a light cotton scarf upon the arms and making it into sleeves. These sleeves can help the air to pass through and keep the air circulation going without raising body heat.
2) Bikini top
Summer is a swimsuit season, and people should spice up their plain swimsuits into stylish bikini tops. @americanthreads posted a TikTok video explaining a way to style our plain bikini tops and turn them into cute ones. There are many other creative ways we can tie our bikinis in.
In another video posted via @fashionallovermybody, we can see a second way to wear a bikini top more fashionably. One can spice up their entire wardrobe and get a whole new section of swimsuits without spending money with this hack.
3) Scarf top to beat the summer heat
Scarf top was one of the biggest trends we saw at the end of summer 2021, and it might continue in 2022. Scarf tops are cool and chic, which is a perfect combination for the summer season.
In the video shared above by @threads, we see a great hack shared, where you must tie the ends of scarves into a knot and then pull a thread around in between to make the top stay in place.
One can also make a halter neck scarf top following the steps shared by @mercedestrankwong in which she adds a chain detail and makes the scarf into a halter neck.
When one makes a scarf top, they should ensure the scarf is a little thick and not see-through, and the fabric is a summer-appropriate one, which doesn’t stick to your skin. One can choose the length of the scarf depending upon the iteration they are making out of it and the body size.
4) Cropping button-up shirts
Button-up shirts are a staple in wardrobes. From formal to casual, we can find every pattern in button-ups. However, people tend to avoid wearing them because they can be too warm for summer. So, with these hacks shared by @hadassahthestylist, we can make those shirts into summer-worthy ones and give them a cool look.
In the first style, @hadassahthestylist has cropped the shirt while keeping only two buttons on the front (one can choose a length they are comfortable with). After choosing the length, extra cloth goes at the back and is tied down with the help of a hair tie. One can neatly fold them inside the crop top and give it an oversized look.
In the second hack, the buttons are open, but the shirt's fronts are neatly placed one over another in a kimono style, and the ends of the shirt are passed through the belt loops. If there is extra cloth left, one can stick them down the pants.
In the third hack, @hadassahthestylist has closed some of the buttons from the top, and after choosing a length according to the preference, she passed the extra clothing through a single belt loop and then tightened them up a bit, giving a neat, tidy, and crop look.
5) DIY your perfect summer shorts
It isn't easy to find the perfect length of shorts in the store, and it can be brutal to wear shorts that are either too short or too long. Shorts are one of the most important clothing items in summer.
They keep the exposed legs in ventilation and give cool chic vibes. A person can repurpose one of the old pairs of jeans by customizing their perfect shorts.
Jeans that are now boring or too hot for the season can be cut by measuring the length you want and making horizontal cuts along the inner thighs. This trick will help upgrade your wardrobe while keeping you cool.
