A Killer Paradox on Netflix: Release date, teaser, cast, plot, and all about the upcoming thriller starring Choi Woo-shik & Son Suk-ku
On January 11, 2024, Netflix released the official teaser for A Killer Paradox, starring Choi Woo-shik and Son Soo-ku, and developed by Kim Da-min as well as Lee Chang-hee. The whodunit plot of the criminal thriller centers around a college girl.
Actor Choi Woo-shik, who starred in Parasite and Our Beloved Summer, will play Lee Tang, the main character, a serial killer who exclusively kills criminals. Meanwhile, Son Suk-ku of D.P. and My Liberation Notes fame will portray Jang Nan-gam.
The premiere date of the Netflix drama A Killer Paradox is set for Friday, February 9, 2024. The drama seems to have opted for a shorter run of eight episodes rather than the traditional 12–16 episode format. Instead of releasing each episode weekly, Netflix is anticipated to release all of the episodes at once.

A Killer Paradox is a webtoon adaptation by Kkomabi. It follows Lee Tang (played by Choi Woo-shik), a regular university student, whose life takes an unexpected turn, after she murders a psychotic serial killer and ends up becoming the detective's top suspect.
However, the detective quickly discovers that he possesses the ability to recognize bad deeds, and he transforms into a silent, covert hero who exacts revenge on the villains. However, Lee Tang manages to slip from his grasp every single time.
The primary teaser for A Killer Paradox was made available on Netflix on January 11, 2024. In the first scene of the suspenseful video, Lee Tang is shown going about his everyday activities, such as attending college and working at a convenience shop. However, a fortuitous meeting with a violent stranger leads to a series of events that prompt him to use a hammer to strike back—committing his first murder ever.
Apart from the lead cast, stellar actors such as Won Hee-lee, Lee Hee-joon, Hyun Bong-sik, and others are slated to appear in pivotal roles in the upcoming Netflix drama.
Netflix releases official posters of the upcoming suspense thriller drama
The upcoming drama, A Killer Paradox, also saw the release of its first look and two posters. Netflix released two colorful posters of Choi Woo-shik and Son Suk-goo along with several first looks/still cuts from the drama.
One of the official posters shows the lead actor Choi Woo-shik, who plays Lee Tang, wearing a uniform jacket from a convenience store and looking somewhat exhausted and gloomy as a circular blood stain is displayed across his face.
Meanwhile, My Liberation Notes famed actor Son Suk-ku is seen wearing a dark grey long coat with backswept hair. He is seen blowing chewing gum as a red blood stain circles his face as well. On top of each official poster of the A Killer Paradox, the words "THE KILLER" are written in bold.
Choi co-starred with Kim Da-mi in the SBS drama, Our Beloved Summer, in December 2021.
Furthermore, The Policeman's Lineage, which debuted on January 12, 2022, marked Choi's comeback to the big screen in that particular year. In 2021, Son Suk-ku portrayed the part of Captain Im Ji-seop in the Netflix series D.P. That same year, he played the lead in his first big-screen feature, a romantic movie called Nothing Serious.
Watcha's short film, Unframed - Rebroadcast, marked Suk-ku's directorial debut.
Son Suk-ku was featured in My Liberation Notes opposite Kim Ji-won, a slice-of-life series on JTBC, in 2022. He led the overall popularity rating for drama artists for a period of five weeks in a row, receiving praise from both critics and viewers for his depiction of Mr. Gu, a reclusive and drunken outsider.
He played the antagonist Kang Hae-sung in the criminal epic thriller The Roundup that same year (2022), which brought in 12 million ticket sales and became South Korea's highest-grossing film of 2022.
