Civil War: 3 times Tony Stark fought Captain America as movie completes 7 years of release

The megahit film Captain America: Civil War from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still one of the most talked-about superhero films ever even seven years after its premiere. Iron Man and Captain America, two of the most adored Avengers, square off in the film in a conflict that split the superhero community.

Captain America: Civil War was directed by the Russo Brothers and grossed over $1.1 Billion worldwide. It received immense praise from critics, especially for its high-octane action sequences and the performances of Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America. The movie also featured many renowned stars such as Tom Holland as Spiderman, Paul Rudd as Antman, Scarlet Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, among others.

The airport battle scene in Captain America: Civil War is considered one of the best superhero fights in cinema history. In this scene, Iron Man leads a team of Avengers who are in support of the Sokovia Accords, while Captain America leads a team of Avengers who are against the Accords. The fight takes place at Leipzig/Halle Airport in Germany.

In this scene, Iron Man and Captain America square off while demonstrating their respective skills and special abilities. Captain America is attacked by Iron Man using different weaponry on his armour, but Cap is able to block the blows with his shield. The scene ends when Vision's beam hits War Machine's suit by mistake which destroys its Arc Reactor and completely disables it.

This makes War Machine plummet to the Earth and crash. Tony Stark leaves the Quinjet in which Captain America escapes and chases War Machine in an effort to save him but he fails.

2) Iron Man vs Bucky and Captain America

Tony Stark confronts Bucky and Captain America in combat in the sequence right before the final battle. This fight scene is one of the most intense and emotional scenes from Captain America: Civil War.

Tony had learned in this scene that Bucky was accountable for his parents' passing, which increases his rage and contempt for Bucky. The fight happens in an abandoned building where Iron Man fights both the Winter Soldier and Captain America.

Tony attacks Bucky and Cap with the guns from his suit, and they protect themselves by using their fighting prowess and shields. Iron Man uses his repulsor blasts, rockets, and laser beams to attack Bucky and Cap, while they use their shields to deflect the attacks. Bucky also uses his metal arm to strike Iron Man, which proves to be a formidable weapon.

The scene is incredibly well-choreographed, with the three superheroes showcasing their astonishing abilities. Tony is motivated by his rage and loathing for Bucky, while Cap is fighting to defend his friend in a terrible and emotional battle.

3) The Final Battle between Iron Man and Captain America

The final battle between Tony Stark and Captain America takes place in Siberia, where Cap and Bucky are trying to stop Helmut Zemo from unleashing a lethal weapon. Iron Man reaches the scene and encounters Captain America and Bucky, and the three contend in a fierce fight.

Captain America uses all his strength and combat skills to fight Iron Man but Tony eventually gains the upper hand after he tells his suit to analyse Cap's fight patterns. Cap falls to the ground and Tony asks him to stay down but he doesn't give up and uses his shield to fight Tony and destroy his Iron Man suit.

The fight ends with Tony laying on the ground with his ruptured suit while Captain America picks up injured Bucky and prepares to leave. But just before the two friends leave, Tony asks Captain America to leave his shield behind as it was made by Tony's father. This scene takes place at the end of Captain America: Civil War and it turns out to become quite emotionally charged with the three superheroes feeling a sense of guilt for fighting each other and their past mistakes.
