Describing how Timberlake's behavior changed around black artists, Spears recounted their run-in with rapper Ginuwine in New York. She wrote:
"Walking our way was a guy wearing a huge blinged-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant security guards. J got all excited and said so loud, 'Oh yeah. Fo' shiz. Fo' shiz. Ginuwine what’s up homie?'"
When questioned about the incident, Britney Spears wrote that he was not even embarrassed.
Justin Timberlake has been frequently criticized for cultural appropriation and even having a "blaccent." Needless to say, netizens reacted wildly to the memoir, with many wanting to know more about the revelations.
