Current champion narrowly avoids painful fate after coming out to help Asuka's latest victim on WWE Smackdown

Current RAW Women's Champion Bianca Belair narrowly escaped being sprayed with Asuka's mist after coming out to help Zelina Vega on WWE SmackDown.

Asuka battled Belair at WrestleMania 39 but came out on the losing side. On last week's episode of SmackDown, Belair came out to celebrate her record-breaking title reign. The Empress of Tomorrow came out to shake The EST's hand, but that was a ruse as she misted the champion.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, Zelina Vega faced Asuka after the former's gutsy display at Backlash. While Zelina put on a fight against Asuka, she was no match for The Empress of Tomorrow and tapped out to her submission hold. However, following the match, the former Women's Champion didn't release the hold. Bianca Belair came down to the ring and chased her away.

As Belair checked on Vega, the former women's champion attempted to enter the ring, but Belair caught her by the hair. The Empress of Tomorrow then attempted to spray her with the mist again, but Belair narrowly escaped a painful fate.

It looks like this rivalry between The Empress of Tomorrow and Bianca Belair is getting more intense. It will be interesting to see who will emerge victorious at Night of Champions.
