Picking up the events from the previous installment, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction episode 12 begins with Ririsa Amano discovering that she has failed in all subjects. As such, she has to attend to the supplementary classes.

Meanwhile, Masamune Okumura finds out from Mayura that although the authorities have accepted their report, they won't publicly announce the activities. In other words, only the principal and the student council would know about their cosplay activities.

Masamune wonders if cosplay is truly something they need to keep a secret. Mayura tells him that it's not as simple as he thinks. The episode then delves into a flashback, revealing Mayura's conversation with the principal.

While the teachers may feel it's fine for the club to continue with the cosplay activities, others could tease them or even bully them. At worst, someone could spread gossip about Ririsa online. That reaction might convince Ririsa to give up her cherished hobby altogether.

As such, the student council and principal have decided to acknowledge their hobby, but not to make it public. Masamune finally understands it, and later, Ririsa comes to terms with the decision. Eventually, they breathe a sigh of relief that they at least get to keep their club.

Following that, the episode shows Masamune playing a video game with Mayura, who comprehensively defeats him. Meanwhile, Ririsa implores Mayura to teach her sewing skills. Toward the end of the episode, Masamune Okumura calls Ogino to discuss the Spring Comiket's response.

Ogino informs the boy that Mr. Camera, one of the legendary figures in the cosplay industry, has acknowledged Ririsa Amano's Liliel avatar on his Cosplay Blog, and rated her fifth on the "Make Way for the Five Rising Stars of Cosplay" list. Masamune is disappointed at Ririsa not being ranked first, but the girl is ecstatic at being number five.

The boy then remembers that cosplay isn't for competition and that all cosplayers share the same love. The episode ends with an unknown girl infuriated to see Ririsa making it to the fifth place on Mr. Camera's list of five rising cosplay stars.

The episode will likely cover chapters 38, 39, and 40 from Atsushi Hashimoto's manga, and show Noa, the cosplayer who ranked fourth in Mr. Camera's blog. Interestingly, she happens to be the same person who appeared in the latest episode's ending.
