Blue Lock players have shown themselves to be prodigies of the sport. Be it up the field in attack, in the center of the park in the midfield, or guarding the goal in defense, these players have proved themselves time and again. Now, in the Neo Egosit League, before them lies one final chance to show off their mettle and impress top clubs and players for a shot at changing their future.
Fans have often wondered what would happen if the players were brought into the real world. They believe that some of them would dominate the field for whichever side they represented. Meanwhile, other players, although talented, might not make the cut and would have to occupy a spot on the bench instead.
While many names come to mind for either category, here are 5 players who could rule the pitch in real life and 5 who need to be content on the bench.

5 Blue Lock players who can rule the field in real-life
1) Isagi Yoichi
Isagi Yoichi stands among the top tier of Blue Lock players to play in the Neo Egoist League. Serving as protagonist of the series, his main goal is to become the World's Best Striker. Ego Jinpachi personally chose Isagi to join the Blue Lock Project, unlike his competitors, selected by Anri Teiri. Ego Jinpachi feels that Isagi is the ideal striker he wants to create.
Throughout Blue Lock, Isagi has shown impressive development through the project's different phases and selections. Presently, he ranks among the top players playing in the Neo Egoist League and yet continues to evolve with each game. His evolution has allowed him to play on par with the likes of Michael Kaiser and Shoei Barou. If brought to the real world, Isagi would undoubtedly be a starter for any team and boss the midfield in every game.
2) Rin Itoshi
Next on this list of Blue Lock players who could rule the field in real life is Rin Itoshi. The younger brother of prodigy Sae Itoshi, Rin has only one aim, to surpass his older brother. Throughout his footballing life, the green-haired boy has always played as a forward and has been labeled as one of the best. Even Ego Jinpachi acknowledged this fact by the end of the 3rd Selection.
With the archetype of Playmaker, Rin controls the flow of his side's play.
His style of play pushes his teammates and other Blue Lock players to play their best, which he uses when he scores goals. Alternately, it forces the same from his opponents, and he manages to evolve and crush them soon after. Alongside this, his superior footballing skill, near-perfect kick accuracy, football IQ, Predator Eye, and Flow State would make him a heavily wanted player in real life.
3) Shido Ryusei
Shidou Ryusei finds himself on this side of the list of Blue Lock players who would dominate in real life. Like Isagi, Shidou is a player who Ego regards as the type of striker he wishes to create. Further, unlike the other contenders at Blue Lock, Shidou does not want to become the World's Best Striker, rather, he desires to live and enjoy life to the fullest through football.
Archetype Poacher, Shidou flourishes when allowed to lurk around the goal and steal a goal at the slightest opportunity. In essence, players like him wait patiently to grab an opportunity to "poach" a goal.
Like Rin, he too possesses superior footballing skills and that is complimented by his imposing physicality, speed, impressive spatial awareness, reflexes, shooting ability, and heading skill. In real life, Shidou would be the perfect wildcard that his side unleashes to wreak havoc and win games.
4) Charles Chevalier
Charles Chevalier is one of the youngest Blue Lock players, but that doesn't stop him from competing with the best of the best. He has been labeled as the "heart of PXG" due to his near-unrivaled passing ability that suits both Rin and Shidou. Moreover, Charles receives added training to support the talent of Julian Loki, for them both to become the best in the world.
Nicknamed "the imp," Charles' smaller stature allows him to move swiftly on the pitch. Loki has acknowledged his passing abilities and considers him necessary in the pursuit of becoming the best.
Charles loves to play risky passes, which is what makes him so dangerous. Further, Charles is one of the Blue Lock players possessing Metavision, which allows him to constantly collect data about whatever is happening on the field and react accordingly.
5) Oliver Aiku
Former Japan U-20 Team captain Oliver Aiku also has a spot on this list of Blue Lock players. Aiku's childhood dream of becoming the best striker was heavily influenced to "play for others." He gave up on his dream but chose to devote himself to becoming the world's best defender regardless of the discouragement he received. He soon resolved to do all he could to help a "true striker" reach the top and prevent their dream from being shattered.
As a Libero or Sweeper, Aiku plays as a more versatile defender who "sweeps" the ball when the opponent breaches his defense. Sweepers are generally quicker, have a smaller physical build, and and possess great passing ability and immense match-reading skill. His imposing and muscular physique, reflexes, and spatial awareness make him more than a regular defender. In addition, he too has Metavision. Thus, in real life, Aiku's name would likely always be first on the team sheet.
5 Blue Lock players who might find themselves on the bench
1) Gurimu Igarashi
Over to the other end of this Blue Lock players list, Gurimu Igarashi would have to remain content being on the bench in real life. Initially, he was ranked the lowest among all the Project Blue Lock entrants.
Growing up in a temple motivated him greatly to become a professional soccer player and hence avoid staying a monk his entire life. Given whatever has been seen of him, there is little he wouldn't do to cement his place at Blue Lock.
Igarashi does not possess a skillset similar to the project's top players to be able to compete with him. Apart from his archetype being Forward (his main job is to score goals; get into positions to receive passes/crosses and finish off chances), Igarashi developed "Malica Dribbling" style. Essentially, he draws opponents in with simple moves and, at the last second, brings his body between the ball and them, thus forcing them to foul him and concede a freekick to his side.
2) Okuhito Lemon
Next on this section of the Blue Lock players who would be benched in real life is Okuhito Lemon. Upon arrival, he represented Team Z and was positioned in goal. However, he only made it to the Second Selection before getting eliminated. He was shown to be quite a caring individual, thinking mostly for the betterment of the team. However, being deployed out of position makes it tough to gauge his abilities.
Like Igarashi, his archetype is Forward, i.e., his main job is to score goals. Such players get a lot of attention from their teammates, as they are meant to be ready in scoring positions. Then, coming to Blue Lock, his archetype became Goalkeeper, the only position he ever played there. While he was impressive between the sticks for a striker, it is unfortunate that he wouldn't be a starter in real life, but rather more of a backup.
3) Junichi Wanima
Older of the Wanima twins, Junichi was among the Blue Lock players who played for Team W. Following a close elimination during the First Selection and losing his brother in the pursuit of "the best" title, Junichi promised himself to train hard and atone for the loss the twins suffered. What puts him a rung lower on the ladder when compared to the other players is his attitude—he views himself as superior and only acknowledges his twin.
Moreover, he has been shown to play dirty when he desires. Apart from all this, Junichi is a Forward (archetype), like Igarashi and Lemon. The only special ability he possesses is Eye Contact, in tandem with his brother, through eye contact alone, the twins showcase stunning plays. However, this weapon needs both twins and proved less effective once Keisuke was eliminated.
4) Keisuke Wanima
Younger and the other half of the Wanima twins, Keisuke too, represented Team W upon arriving at Blue Lock. However, he was one of the Blue Lock players eliminated in the First Selection and had to leave his brother's side. Similar to Junichi, even Keisuke views himself as superior and acknowledges no one but Junichi. Again, like his brother, he doesn't shy away from playing dirty when needed.
Akin to the three players mentioned above, Keisuke is also a Forward, responsible for getting into good positions to score goals. Apart from that, he links with his brother to use their weapon, Eye Contact. With Junichi being the silent one and Keisuke being more chatty, the latter understands his brother simply through eye contact and the twins link up very well.
However, as stated, it needs both twins on the same side to work. Hence, without one or the other, the Wanima twins would find themselves on the bench in real life.
5) Yudai Imamura
Finally, concluding this list of Blue Lock players is Yudai Imamura. Not much was seen of him, as he was one of the Blue Lock players who was eliminated in the Second Selection. Upon his introduction, he stated that his strongest attributes were his speed and technique. However, we were unable to see much of it and thus little can be said about it.
He too is a Forward, tasked with the responsibility to get into positions to receive the ball and score. Teammates usually look at players like him for the positions they get into, which increases their chances of scoring a goal. However, Yudai's abilities haven't been on display and his not making it to Third Selection is a testament that he isn't among the elite Blue Lock players
