As fans must remember, Blue Lock season 2 was far from perfect. The animation was ridden with CGI, characters were panned across the screen rather than being animated, and transitions looked straight out of a PowerPoint presentation. With such low production quality, fans did not hold out a lot of hope for Blue Lock season 2.

Fortunately, as the anime inched closer to its end, it showed signs of good production quality. This was especially evident when the anime depicted the super goals scored in the match. This included every goal other than the first goal scored by Sae Itoshi.

Hence, fans held out hope that the match's final goal would also be produced well. Needless to say, the anime's final match-up including Rin Itoshi's Flow and Yoichi Isagi's goal was beautifully animated.

8bit does beyond justice to Rin Itoshi's Flow in Blue Lock season 2 finale

Given 8bit's poor production quality seen in Blue Lock season 2, fans were worried that the anime would ruin Rin Itoshi's Flow and Yoichi Isagi's goal scene. Fortunately, the animation studio went beyond its capacity to animate Rin Itoshi's Flow scene in movie-like quality.

Unlike the previous episodes in which the anime saw 8bit make use of CGI animation for quick-feet movements, the final match-up scene only made use of 2D animation. The line art looked crispy and the movements were as good as they could be.

To top it off, the anime used sound effects really well. With the score tied at 3-3, the next goal was effectively set to decide Japan's future. As both Itoshi siblings tussled for the ball, the anime added the muffled sound of the audience cheering for Japan. This helped depict how important the match-up was for the two siblings despite the adverse effects it could have on the country's future.

The most amazing thing amidst this was Rin Itoshi's Flow animation. Not only was his tongue hanging out of his mouth animated well, but also his panting was depicted differently, something similar to a wild animal trying to draw breaths during a fight. Overall, the production quality for Rin Itoshi's Flow moment exceeded all expectations.

Most fans were elated after watching the anime's finale as it finally featured the type of animation quality the series deserved. That said, it is quite disappointing to realize that the anime's best animation quality only lasted for about eight minutes. That too, featured some flashback scenes, encapsulating Rin and Sae's past.

"The animation finally doesn’t make me wanna rip my eyes out," one fan said.
"For 5 minutes out of the whole season lolol," another fan added.
"I was screaming when i watched this scene," another fan said.
"What's with the black eyes? Why does bro look like ghoul?? Lol," other fan said.

Meanwhile, other anime fans criticized the final match-up scene, stating that it looked far from football. While they believed the animation looked good, they could not understand why Rin Itoshi looked like a ghoul. Needless to say, the anime's fans defended the series without fail.
