The mega-popular Dandadan and Boruto witnessed an unexpected crossover in a Brazilian comic, surprising nearly everyone. Crossovers between beloved franchises are always a treat, and Brazilian comic Turma da Monica Jovem recently did just that. Amusingly, it brought together characters from Yukinobu Tatsu and Masashi Kishimoto's series.

This comic imaginatively pairs Dandadan Aira/Momo with Two Blue Vortex's Boruto Uzumaki, sparking intrigue and mirth among animanga fans. The crossover celebrated both series' popularity and their distinct universes in a witty way that is unique to Turma da Monica Jovem's style. This lighthearted approach opens the doors to fan speculation and intriguing what-if scenarios.

Such an unexpected pairing brings a fresh breath of appreciation for the characters, showcasing them in a new light far removed from their original storylines.

The Brazilian comic Turma da Monica Jovem, also known as Monica Adventures, is extremely popular in South American. The series features characters from Monica and Friends, specifically four teenagers who have matured from their previous incarnations. Needless to say, the story depicts teenage life elements like friends, love, school, nightclubs, and problems.

In the most recent issue of the comic, Boruto Uzumaki and what seems to be a fusion between Aira Shiratori and Momo Ayase are featured on the cover. They are seen dancing in what can be described as a Brazilian festival. Surprisingly, this isn't the first time the Brazilian series has featured intriguing Easter eggs. The magazine is known for its crossovers and Easter eggs.

Such crossovers bring unique collaborations to their audience. Among its notable ventures, the series had once joined hands with DC Comics. The result was The Big Meeting: Turma da Mônica and the Justice League, a collaboration spanning 19 distinct titles. These tales witnessed Monica’s gang partner with iconic heroes like Superman and Batman, celebrating the global appeal of both franchises.

Another significant crossover involved Tezuka Productions. In this collaboration, characters from Astro Boy and Turma da Monica Jovem shared adventures. Such a collaboration was made more meaningful as it materialized a long-time dream of both Mauricio de Sousa and the late Osamu Tezuka, honoring their friendship and legacy.

When the final issue cover of Turma da Monica Jovem dropped, fans quickly took to social media to share their amusement. Animanga fans instantly caught on to the Dandadan-Boruto reference. It was as surprising to them to stumble across such an Easter egg in a Brazilian comic.

"Bro that's boruto and aira lol" - a netizen wrote.

Fans were thrilled to see Dandadan's Aira/Momo and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex's Boruto on the cover. Given the surge in popularity of both series, it isn't all that new to see other creators celebrating the same. Moreover, it is likely Aira/Momo and Boruto due to the recent developments in each anime/manga - Aira and Momo are integral parts of Okarun's life, and Boruto is preparing for the Shinju.

"LETS GOOO BORUTO GOT REFERENCED" - a fan exclaimed.

Elsewhere, fans were ecstatic to see Boruto get referenced outside the animanga genre. This speaks volumes about how well the series is doing and, more importantly, the reach it is garnering. Previously, Naruto enjoyed, and still enjoys, immense global reach as one of the best manga ever written. With how things are progressing, it won't be long before Boruto catches up to its parent series.

"Bro started to rizz other verses" - an X user commented.

Another group of users joked about Boruto Uzumaki's "rizzing" characters from other verses, in this case, Dandadan. The blonde has unknowingly become quite popular with the females in his series, with both Sarada Uchiha and Sumire Kakei harboring feelings for him. Now, on the cover of Turma da Monica Jovem, Aira/Momo from Dandadan is being "rizzed."

"Why is Boruto chubby lmao?" - a user joked.

Finally, fans were tickled because Boruto appeared to be healthier than normal on this cover. In Two Blue Vortex, he is typically depicted as tall and slender, with a presumably well-toned physique beneath his outfit. However, on the cover, he appears to be sporting a bit of a tubby look with curly hair. In comparison, the Dandadan fusion of Aira and Momo sports Aira's hair color but Momo's outfit.
