Henry Cavill is one of the fan-favorite castings for the live-action role of Goku from Dragon Ball. The sole reason behind it is his physique, which would suit the Saiyan's role, and the actor's love for anime, which is a bonus. A recent AI-generated edit of the actor looking like Goku proved that fans might be correct in their selection.
A parody X account of Henry (@HenryCavil80028) posted an AI-generated edit of the actor as Goku on a production set with two colors of wigs that represented the Saiyan's Super Saiyan God transformations. Not only did the edit showcase Henry as a perfect cast for Goku, but the fandom was also bewildered by how perfectly the actor and anime characters fit each other.

Dragon: Exploring the Dragon Ball edit that features Henry Cavill as Goku
The edit consisted of two pictures, each featuring the actor as a Super Saiyan transformation of Son Goku, the main protagonist of Dragon Ball. The first pictures featured Henry as Super Saiyan God (which is recognized from its bright red-crimson hair).
The form appeared in the Super Series and was unlocked when six righteous Saiyans gave Goku their ki. The form is also achievable through divine training, which the main protagonist underwent later and perfected the Super Saiyan God.
The second picture in the edit featured Henry as Super Saiyan Blue, the Super Saiyan form of the Super Saiyan God. Unlike the Super Saiyan God form, which was achievable through a ritual, Super Saiyan Blue had no shortcuts. Only rigorous divine training could grant a Saiyan this overpowered transformation.
Goku first achieved this form (because he had already achieved Super Saiyan God). It was followed by Vegeta, who skipped the Super Saiyan God transformation and achieved Super Saiyan Blue first.
"Superman American Goku" — Fans react to the AI-generated edit
The AI-generated edit reminded the fandom how perfectly Henry Cavill would fit as Goku in the Dragon Ball live-action. The fandom was also amazed by how the actor's physique matched the anime character's (which could be due to the AI edit having done some modification to Henry's body).
"Same shape wtf. Bro is the real goku," a fan said.
One fan even called the actor "Superman American Goku" (because one of Henry's most known roles is Superman in some movies from the Superman franchise).
"You’re basically Superman American Goku. That’s all I can say, amazing cosplay," another fan said.
One fan jokingly said that the actor could also do the Ultra Instinct transformation—Goku's latest transformation in the anime. Another branded the British actor as the perfect casting for Vegata, the deuteragonist starting from the Z series.
"Ok....now do ultra instinct!," another one said.
"You make a great Vegeta," another fan claimed.
Final thoughts
To fans' despair, there is no official news of a live-action series for Akira Toriyama's magnum opus. However, if such a project ever gets announced, Henry might be the perfect casting for the live-action series' protagonist. Even though the AI edit might have edited his body to fit Goku, his natural body might be enough to play the Saiyan in live-action.
