Almost every Jujutsu Kaisen character has faced Sukuna in the final arc, with the exceptions of Hakari, Mei Mei, and Hana Kurusu. Many fans anticipated that this chapter would showcase the aftermath of Yuta's Hollow Purple on Sukuna, expecting Yuta to inflict some damage. However, to the disappointment of Yuta fans, the chapter began with Sukuna and Yuta's domains collapsing, leaving Yuta incapacitated.

To fans' surprise, the chapter concluded with Hana Kurusu directly attacking Sukuna with a Jacob's Ladder. This came as a surprise since few fans expected Hakari or Mei Meito to join the fight instead of Hana, who is currently missing an entire limb.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 confirmed fans' theories that Yuta's Hollow Purple would be ineffective against Sukuna. The chapter started with both Sukuna's and Yuta's domains shattering.

Throughout the sorcerers' fight against Sukuna, nearly every character introduced in the series has taken their shot at him. While some characters, like Inumaki, didn't take a proactive role, their contribution was done by Yuta, who copied and used their cursed techniques.

This approach meant that the cursed techniques used to harm Sukuna acted as stand-ins for the characters themselves. In Yuta's first battle against Sukuna, he used Jacob's Ladder to strike him, and chapter 263 saw Hana Kurusu returning to deliver a similar attack on a greater scale.

Hana Kurusu, last seen during Gojo's unsealing, and severely injured with lost limbs, was not expected to re-enter the fight against Sukuna. Her return, especially considering her injuries, surprised many fans.

Furthermore, Angel and her vessel Hana Kurusu were established as a party that is directly hunting Sukuna, and Angel being the only Jujutsu Kaisen character to directly antagonize Sukuna while addressing him as "The Disgraced One" ushered in many new theories.

Hana Kurusu had previously used Jacob's Ladder on Sukuna, which ended up being very effective. While that happened with a Sukuna at a much lower power level than the current Sukuna, it should be noted that the current Sukuna is arguably at his weakest.

Given the connections established through Hana Kurusu's backstory and Megumi's role in saving her life, along with the fact that Angel is still shrouded in mystery and it isn't even known how cursed energy can create the Jujutsu Kaisen version of holy energy, it is almost guaranteed that the next chapter will focus on Sukuna, Angel, and Hana Kurusu. So fans can look forward to the possible reveal of Sukuna and Angel's complete backstory.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 is set to be officially released on July 14, 2024, and will be available for reading on Shueisha's MANGAPlus platform. Although chapter 263 ended with Angel activating a Maximum Jacob's Ladder on Sukuna, many fans remain skeptical, believing it might be another useless maneuver similar to Yuta's Hollow Purple in chapter 262-2.
