Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru from Jujutsu Kaisen are arguably the most well-known best friends duo in anime. Despite being brothers from another mother, their friendship broke up, and the strongest sorcerer had to end the life of his best friend with his own hands. However, his last words for his buddy were heart-wrenching, and these words featured in recent merchandise.

The recent merchandise consisted of ear cuff rings themed after the series Movie 0. While the designs of these rings were more than just aesthetic, the talk of the town became the dialogue imprinted on the inside, which were the last words Gojo related to his best friend.

What is the recent merchandise from Jujutsu Kaisen?

The recent merchandise from the series was two sets of earrings featuring Okkotsu Yuta and Gojo Satoru. While the former ring focused on the relationship between the special-grade sorcerer and the Queen of Curses (Rika), the latter ring signified the relationship with Geto Suguru, which was evident from the last dialogue they exchanged.

After a frenzied battle during the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, Geto Suguru lost against Yuta Okkotsu and was hanging for dear life. However, as he was lying against a wall in a secluded area, Gojo appeared before him with his earcloth removed.

In their last exchange, Gojo shared some words with Geto that were wholesome (given from Geto's reaction). Later, when Gojo returned Yuta's card to him, the latter asked the former if he was the one who found it. Gojo replied with a single statement:

"Not me. My best friend. The only one I had."

The last part of this statement was featured inside the recent merchandise, showcasing the feelings the strongest sorcerer had for his best friend, Geto Suguru, whose body was stolen by Kenjaku in Jujutsu Kaisen.

As expected, fans were in awe of such a wholesome moment the series created with their recent merchandise. The dialogue had fans eternalizing the best friend bond between Gojo and Geto. Moreover, this reemerged the controversy about the dialogue in context, which some fans called 'misdirection.' However, the merchandise confirmed it was real.

"Best friends even after death," a fan said.
"Can you believe so many people say this line isn't canon, that it's a mistranslation," another fan said.
"That's crazyy," another one said.
"Where would one acquire this ring," another one inquired.

Final thoughts

The bond with a friend can not be replaced, not even blood-related relatives. A person with whom one can share any feeling irrespective of the time, a person to look up to, and a person one considers special from anyone else in the world: these might be the feelings Gojo had for his class-fellow and partner-in-crime Geto Suguru.

Unfortunately, due to overthinking and depression, Geto's life philosophies eventually changed, and he became disillusioned. If he had remained the same, the Jujutsu Society might have been different because he was the 'kind' when Gojo was the 'almighty.'
