Recap of episode 1
The episode introduces Kaito as he battles slimes in a dungeon. Viewers are presented with the fantastical world of explorers and monsters where each floor in a dungeon brings forth monsters stronger than the ones below.
Kaito has been on the first floor battling slimes for two years when he gets to defeat a golden slime for his 1000th kill. The slime drops a rare summoning card which Kaito learns could sell for over a billion yen.
After pondering over the situation, he decides not sell the card and summons Sylphy, the Valkyrie in the dungeon. While kaito thought he had wasted the card judging by her appearance which was that of a small young girl, she turned out to possess tremendous power.
The episode ends with the duo defeating a bunch of slimes and Kaito levelling up. Seeing as he was able to get stronger with Sylphy by his side, Kaito decides to enter the second floor.
