One Piece chapter 1130 was recently released, on October 21, 2024. While it showcased several much-awaited reveals, hidden details hinted that Vivi could be calling for help from her friends. However, as the Straw Hat Pirates are currently separated, her message is yet to be received, but as soon as Luffy and company get to know about it, they would rush to help her.

Unfortunately, this could spell doom for the series' final saga. It could mean that the Straw Hat Pirates could leave Elbaph Island to rescue Vivi, starting another arc amidst the current one. With Elbaph arc already having a slow start, this could downgrade the series' reputation, irrespective of the Straw Hat Pirates' sentiments toward helping Vivi.

Disclaimer: This article contains potential spoilers from the One Piece manga series and reflects the author's opinion.

While One Piece chapter 1130 featured the Arabasta group of the Straw Hat Pirates venturing into the depths of Elbaph Island, things were heating up on the other side, where Robin and others saw the bounty increase of the captains of the New Giant Pirates.

However, while reading the newspaper, Robin noticed a seemingly new detail in Luffy's picture. The Straw Hat Pirates' captain had a cross mark on his wrist, which added to the confusion of every Straw Hat present there.

In reality, this cross mark was the same one the Straw Hat Pirates tattooed on their wrists during the Arabasta arc to identify each other. Unfortunately, as Robin and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates (present at the Giants' ship) were a part of the crew at that time, they had no idea what this new detail meant.

This newly added cross to Luffy's picture could be a hint from Nefartari Vivi, whose last appearance was with Morgans - the person responsible for spreading newspapers all around the Grand Line. Vivi shared the same cross mark with the Straw Hat Pirates during the Arabasta arc.

So, as soon as Luffy and the Arabasta group get news of their friend in trouble, they could go out of their way to help Vivi. While the Arabasta group of the Straw Hat Pirates going out of their way to help Vivi would be commendable, the current state of the manga doesn't allow such side-quests.

One Piece's Elbaph arc had a slow start, with the author spending more time introducing lore rather than unveiling mysteries. So, Luffy and his group venturing out of their way to help Vivi could mean the start of another arc in the Elbaph arc. This could ruin the progression of the final saga, which the author has hyped for the past few years.

Analysis and final thoughts

This article is highly speculative in nature but not in the opposite way, as the supposed arc of Vivi's rescue is something the author would never opt for. The reason behind this is simple; to give Elbaph arc its fair share of attention.

However, this doesn't mean Luffy and company would abandon their friend. This could be time for the Straw Hat Grand Fleet to enter the game, and Luffy could address this alliance to help Vivi, putting them to use for the first time.
