Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 259 was released on September 15, 2024, and the chapter confirmed the survival of Yuta and Higuruma. These two sorcerers had the least chances of survival but the author still defied everything and brought them back. Even though the fandom wasn't mad at their return, they were angry that Gojo Satoru was not being brought back.

With the claims of the fandom being quite logical, considering how the recent events are going, their demands do contradict the claims they made in the past when the author brought back Yuta in the form of Gojo Satoru. Even though the fandom wanted the Honored One to rest in peace in the past, they are now demanding he return from death, falling into an identity crisis.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Why the fandom asking the author to bring back Gojo is a contradictory statement

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269 commenced with Yuta already present in his original body, even though the previous chapter's climax hinted at the demise of the special-grade sorcerer. Moreover, the logic behind the sorcerer's return was also controversial because Rika kept his body from rotting which was enough for him to return after leaving Gojo's body.

Also, the chapter showcased the survival of Higuruma, who was brutally slashed by Ryomen Sukuna's cursed technique as he passed the last executioner sword to Yuji. However, he was seen standing before Yuji and is the only reincarnated sorcerer from the past who is still alive, despite the demise of Kenjaku.

In all this, the fandom is demanding that the author also bring back Gojo Satoru, who died in the battle against Ryomen Sukuna and is yet to receive any kind of foreshadowing that could showcase his return. Ironically, this statement contradicts the fandom's claims in the past when they wanted Gojo Satoru to rest in peace for good.

In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 261, Yuta Okkotsu returned after he was sliced into two pieces by the King of Curses' cursed technique. However, he returned as Gojo Satoru as Yuta used Gojo's dead body as a vessel through Kenjaku's cursed technique.

After this chapter, the fandom stormed the internet with hate comments for the author, stating how this was unfair to him because he deserved some rest after a hardcore battle against Ryomen Sukuna.

The fandom also stated that the author was disrespecting death by using a corpse for battle. However, after the latest chapter, the fandom is demanding that the author bring back Gojo Satoru even though he deserved respect according to them in the past, showcasing the fandom's identity crisis that is never satisfied.

Final thoughts

Before Sukuna's demise, there was something called the 'Sukuna cycle' that was famous amongst the fandom. According to this, Sukuna was the strongest and whoever goes against him is toasted.

However, since his demise, the fandom pushed his greatest title aside and started calling him a fraud, which shows what age group is consuming this media, such that they are not satisfied with being on one side of a battle.
