Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269 is set to be released on September 16, 2024, but the spoilers for the chapter have already been unveiled and so has Yuta's survival. In chapter 268, after Nobara returned and Fushigoro Megumi was released from Sukuna's control, the series hinted the juniors were headed toward a site where the sorcerers would try to save him.

However, chapter 269's spoilers reveal that Yuta was already saved because his soul transferred back to his original body. The strange thing about this all was how much the author misled the audience, as the indication in the previous chapter was entirely fake. There was also no explanation about how Yuta transferred back to his body, putting Kenjaku's cursed technique in question.

Exploring why Yuta's survival is one of the biggest controversies in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269 spoilers commenced with where the series left off in the previous chapter. It showed Yuji and company enter Jujutsu High, where the sorcerers were supposed to find some way to heal Yuta and bring him back to his original body. However, Yuta was sitting inside his original body as Maki yelled at him for making them worry.

As revealed in the chapter, Yuta managed to return to his body because Rika kept his body supplied with a reverse cursed technique. This supposedly saved him from getting rotten and helped his soul transfer back from Gojo Satoru's corpse.

On the other hand, the way this revelation was made was very misleading and controversial. In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 268, Nobara and Fushigoro made a fantastic return as Nobara delivered the finishing blow on Ryomen Sukuna. Meanwhile, Fuhsigoro's adamant resolve ripped Sukuna apart from his body.

After the reunion of the main protagonist trio, Yuji reminded others that they had to go to the Jujutsu High to find a way to revive Yuta Okkotsu who transferred his consciousness inside Gojo Satoru. As they reached the high school, they could hear Maki screaming, indicating that Yuta's return wasn't possible.

However, Yuta had already transferred his consciousness inside his original body through Rika's help, as shown in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269 spoilers. So, his return could become one of the biggest controversies of the series if the author doesn't clarify his return briefly in future chapters.

A question mark on Kenjaku's cursed technique

Kenjaku was one of the series' main antagonists, whose cursed technique Okkotsu Yuta used to transfer his soul inside Gojo Satoru to fight the King of Curses. Okkotsu Yuta killed Kenjaku after Takaba distracted him through a well-fought battle.

Considering how Yuta transferred his soul back inside his original body, the cursed technique of the antagonist is now under question because it was believed that the soul transfer could only take place in one way.

This differentiated him from Ui Ui's curse technique, but that isn't the case. However, this could be a prequel to the unveiling of Kenjaku's true cursed technique and its dynamics.
