Jujutsu Kaisen's story has run its course and is due to end in about 2 chapters. Following a long-drawn and hard-fought battle in the heart of Shinjuku, Team Jujutsu High managed to beat the overwhelming King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna. It took nearly every sorcerer they had to secure victory, which they barely achieved.
The fight was epic, and creator Gege Akutami surprised fans at every turn by making each character create something creative and awesome. But even after all this, there seems to be one thing that Akutami held back from giving fans. This would have been the cherry on top-Yuji Itadori's version of Fuga or Divine Flames.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Akutami likely deprives the series of Yuji's Fuga to add into a possible part II
As the series shows and later states, Yuji Itadori and Ryomen Sukuna shared a body for quite a while. Swallowing Sukuna's finger early on in the story caused Yuji to become the Demon King's vessel. This allowed the curse to switch and take over at times, using Yuji's body to wreak havoc wherever he went.
Later, as Atusya Kusakabe reveals, Yuji and Sukuna sharing a body for a long time meant that Sukuna's Shrine had been imprinted on Yuji. This allowed him to use his own versions of Sukuna's techniques, Cleave and Dismantle, during the latter half of the Shinjuku Showdown. The pink-haired teen using these techniques shocked audiences as much as it did Sukuna.
Thus, applying the same logic, Yuji should have also gotten access to Fuga or Divine Flames. This was also seemingly one of Sukuna's techniques. He first used it against the Disaster Curse Jogo during the Shibuya Incident. He unleashed it again, burning Choso to a crisp during the Shinjuku Arc. Now, since the Shrine was imprinted on Yuji, Fuga should have been as well.
But considering that the battle is finally over and everything is peaceful for now, Akutami might have skipped on showcasing what Yuji's Fuga would look like. Following the reveal of the Shrine being imprinted on Yuji, there was a window for the author to possibly slip into Yuji, ending matters with his Fuga. Moreover, it would be fitting, given that Sukuna firing off Fuga was the reason Choso lost his life.
In return, Yuji using Fuga at the end to wipe out Sukuna might have been the retribution that would have finally put Yuji at ease. However, as mentioned, Akutami likely passed this opportunity for possibly a good reason. After all, it would only make sense given the kind of boosts Yuji received by the end of the series. It is highly probable that Akutami is saving such a card for a Jujutsu Kaisen part II.
With the events leading up to and including the Shinjuku Showdown, the very foundation of Jujutsu Society has been shaken. Further, Gojo killing the higher-ups is an added point to the mentioned statement. Now, as the dust settles, the next generation of sorcerers stands tall against those who threaten the peace. A part II focusing on the new-look Jujutsu Society might be in the works and Yuji could once again be at the center of it.
