Jujutsu Kaisen's end is nigh, with Ryomen Sukuna finally defeated following a long-drawn, destructive battle in Shinjuku. Most of the sorcerers who had seemingly lost their lives during the fight have returned, scarred but alive nonetheless.
Megumi Fushiguro, a sorcerer whose survival hung in the balance, returned. Further, the much-loved Nobara Kugisaki returned as well. It was revealed that her absence had been due to her being in a coma. Yuta Okkotsu got his original body back which was something that was thought impossible, as the implications of him swapping bodies were unknown.
However, even now, it looks like creator Gege Akutami might have one final ace up his sleeve which has left fans sweating, as the author revealed a mystery figure resembling Suguru Geto or Kenjaku in the recently released chapter 270.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Akutami might have one final curveball to throw
Jujutsu Kaisen's end is one chapter away. The most recent chapter 270 glimpsed different characters that were introduced during the course of the series. It showed Megumi and Shoko Ieiri, Maki Zenin, Rokujushi Miyo, Hagane Daido, Charles Bernard, Fumihiko Takaba, and a "mysterious face."
This mystery figure, which appears alongside Takaba in two panels, was enough to stir up the fandom for seemingly one final time. From the looks of it, any fan of the series would be able to tell that the figure is either Suguru Geto or Kenjaku. While their face isn't revealed, their hairstyle, outfit, and posture closely resemble Geto or Kenjaku.
Upon the chapter's release, a large part of the fandom was surprised to see them back, considering that Kenjaku was decapitated by Yuta during the Shinjuku Showdown arc. Moreover, what got the fans riled up is mangaka Gege Akutami's track record of adding twists at the most unexpected junctures.
Fans left sweating after Gege Akutami's "final" stunt before Jujutsu Kaisen's end
With Jujutsu Kaisen's end upon us, the author seems to want to go out on a high. Before the recent couple of chapters, the fandom was concerned about the supporting cast's status, as several sorcerers barely lasted against the might of Sukuna. But it was soon revealed that many of them were alive and well albeit with bumps and bruises.
However, in this process, Akutami teased a very familiar figure that led to fans getting nervous about what the author might have in store for the final chapter, as he draws into Jujutsu Kaisen's end.
"PLSSS TELL ME ITS A PAST SCENE!?!?!" a user wrote.
A part of the fandom was hoping that whatever was being shown toward Jujutsu Kaisen's end was a flashback. This could be a possibility since many of the characters shown in chapter 270 have an unconfirmed status. However, it is unlikely to be a flashback, rather it seems like an aftermath of the Shinjuku Showdown arc.
"Kenjaku seen Sukuna die and decided he’d be better off pursuing comedy with Takaba instead," a netizen commented.
Humor is yet alive and plentiful in the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom. One fan sought to lighten the mood at Jujutsu Kaisen's end, with a humorous post stating that witnessing Sukuna's death deterred Kenjaku from any further scheming and pushed him into comedy with Takaba.
As has been the usual practice, theories and speculations are aplenty with each chapter's release, with this chapter being no different. Many feel that the mystery figure might be Suguru Geto himself and not Kenjaku and that Gege Akutami might be signaling something about Jujutsu Kaisen's end. This does seem plausible, given the figure's demeanor and the way his hair is styled.
"There must be a reason why gege hides his face... yall what if its actually suguru and not kenjaku WALK WITH ME," a fan commented.
Another user took things a step further and opined that the mystery man could be Kenjaku's son. While this might be a little far-fetched, knowing Akutami, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary.
"Cant wait for him to be kenjaku's son," a netizen opined.
At this point, with nothing concrete, a part 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen cannot be ruled out, and even though the possibility is tiny, the antagonist of this new series could be Kenjaku's offspring or the next generation he secretly readied.
