Kaigaku, Mitsuri, and 10 other characters who will die in the Infinity Castle arc
1) Shinobu Kocho
Shinobu Kocho will be among the initial Demon Slayer characters to die in the Infinity Castle arc. Shinobu fights Upper Moon Two, Doma, with all her might. However, regardless of her powerful abilities and courage, she is surpassed by Doma's greater strength.
Shinobu understands she cannot win against him by strength alone. Instead, she offers her body as a container to poison Doma. She had been consuming and soaking up significant quantities of wisteria poison for an extended time frame before this encounter with Doma.
In the intense part of the fight, Doma gives a serious wound to Shinobu, and she dies from it. But her death is not without effect; the poison inside her makes Doma very weak, creating an opportunity for his friends to carry on with the battle. Shinobu's death shows her dedication to the Demon Slayer Corps and commitment to safeguarding humans regardless of any sacrifice involved.
2) Kaigaku
The story of Kaigaku ends with a fierce fight with his past companion, Zenitsu Agatsuma. In a powerful collision of thunder-breathing techniques, Kaigaku and Zenitsu come together for their last confrontation. Even though Kaigaku has significant power and underrates Zenitsu's skills, Zenitsu shows resolute determination and development as a combatant to decide who wins.
Zenitsu's proficiency in his techniques and dedication to defending his friends and other Demon Slayer characters allows him to deliver the final, fatal blow on Kaigaku. The confrontation emphasizes redemption and ramifications, ending Kaigaku's sorrowful journey with an emotional tone.
3) Akaza
Akaza, who is among the toughest Upper-Rank demons in Demon Slayer, will have an important part in the Infinity Castle arc. Being a member of Twelve Kizuki, Akaza's power and fighting abilities are unmatched, making him very difficult for other characters to handle.
His backstory shows a sad history that gives more complexity to his character. It also tells us how he went from being human with a strong sense of justice to a powerful demon. Akaza will have a battle with top fighters from the Demon Slayer Corps. He shows his strong martial arts skills and quick healing capabilities.
Even though Akaza is very strong, his confrontation will lead to his end. This part of the story shows that nobody, not even those with powerful abilities, can always win against the Demon Slayer Corps. When Akaza dies, it highlights how their mission to wipe out demons goes on without stopping and at a high cost.
4) Doma
Doma, as the Upper Rank Two of Twelve Kizuki, shows impressive strength and healing power. He can create dangerous ice attacks through his Blood Demon Art, which he applies with vicious effectiveness. Doma looks calm but hides a cruel enjoyment of suffering and the total absence of sympathy.
He struggles mightily alongside other characters like Kanao Tsuyuri and Inosuke Hashibira. But when they bring their abilities together, Doma remains a difficult adversary to overcome.
But, Kanao and Inosuke are unshakable - they bring down Doma's defenses with determination and emotional strength from their friends who have died. This fight displays the incredible power and danger of Upper-Rank demons and that Demon Slayer Corps never gives up.
5) Muichiro Tokito
Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito will encounter a tough fight. He is known for his high skill and calm personality which differentiates him from other Demon Slayer characters. It's going to be an enormous challenge for him when he fights against Upper-Rank Five Gyokko, as their battle should be demanding.
Muichiro, who is merely 14 years old, will demonstrate tremendous strength and steadfastness. He fights with unmatched accuracy and determination. Amid intense fighting, Muichiro receives severe injuries, but his spirit pushes him forward to protect his friends and carry out his role as a Hashira.
Muichiro will give up his life. He fights with great courage and hits the enemy hard, but then he dies. When Muichiro passes away, it will have a big effect on other Demon Slayers. It's like a strong remembrance of the huge efforts put into this never-ending fight with demons.
6) Genya Shinazugawa
In the next sections of the Demon Slayer anime, Genya Shinazugawa has a sad finish while fighting against Kokushibo, Upper Moon One. Genya fights with his brother Sanemi and Hashira Gyomei Himejima. Even though he possesses exceptional regenerative powers and the ability to briefly acquire demon qualities by eating their flesh, Genya eventually cannot withstand Kokushibo's formidable might and expertise.
With an urgent wish to help his friends, Genya gives out all his power and hurts Kokushibo. But even with these courageous actions, he cannot recover from the deadly injuries. His last times are filled with a strong will to guard his brother and friends.
7) Kokushibo
Kokushibo, the Upper Moon One of Twelve Kizuki, appears as a strong opponent in the Infinity Castle series of Demon Slayer. He is the twin brother to Yoriichi Tsugikuni, who created the Sun Breathing technique and his strength surpasses all other demons.
He has the advantage of Blood Demon Art, which creates unbeatable swordsmanship. This allows him to regenerate extremely quickly and turn his flesh into dangerous blades. The story of Kokushibo is sad because he was very jealous of Yoriichi's natural talent.
In the part where Infinity Castle is shown, Kokushibo battles with the most powerful Hashira. This demonstrates his skills at their maximum level. Just by being there, he changes how things are going in the fight and becomes the main character of this exciting section.
8) Tamayo
Tamayo fights Muzan Kibutsuji, giving up her own life for a chance to defeat him. Even though she usually avoids violence and is dedicated to discovering a cure for demonification, Tamayo faces Muzan with strong determination. Her understanding of demon biology allows her to create a powerful drug that greatly weakens Muzan's strength.
But, this rebellion has its price. Muzan is furious because she betrayed him and also poses a danger. He fights back with no mercy shown at all. Tamayo tries her best but cannot win against Muzan's strength - he overpowers her and ends up killing Tamayo, along with many other characters.
9) Nakime
Nakime, the demon who plays biwa and changes corridors in Infinity Castle, will have a final fight. She uses her power to arrange the castle's layout for Muzan Kibutsuji as his loyal servant. This makes a complicated battleground resembling a maze that resists against other characters.
However, her power inside the castle will be her downfall. Yushiro, a demon companion of the main characters, possesses unique abilities that enable him to control Nakime's sight and disrupt her powers. If he manages this successfully, she will turn feeble and not be able to maintain the castle structure anymore. Seizing this opportunity, the Demon Slayer Corps will launch a coordinated attack, overwhelming her.
Finally, Nakime will have her head taken. This signifies that she has lost control over the Infinity Castle and those who are left can now fight against Muzan without any barriers from Nakime, who was shielding him all this while. Her demise acts as a turning point in the tale by weakening Muzan's groups and giving crucial benefit to Demon Slayers.
10) Gyomei Himejima
Gyomei Himejima, also known as the Stone Hashira, will face his tragic fate in the final fight with Muzan Kibutsuji during the Infinity Castle arc. Even though Gyomei is very powerful and skilled in using the Breath of Stone technique, he has to deal with a lot of difficulties against the demon king.
He fights bravely with the other Hashira and the main characters, getting severely hurt which leads to his life being gone. He shows his strong determination and commitment to safeguarding humanity by not giving up in combat, even after using all his strength.
In his end time, Gyomei will ponder about all that he has been through. He can find comfort in knowing that he put effort into fighting against wickedness. When Gyomei dies, it will show how Demon Slayer characters give up their lives for the cause of eliminating demons and making peace in the world.
11) Mitsuri Kanroji
Mitsuri Kanroji, who is known as the Love Hashira, will perish during the Infinity Castle arc. She shows her great strength and endurance while fighting with other main characters against Muzan Kibutsuji. Her love for people makes her fight with so much determination.
However, even with her amazing skills, Muzan's strength is too much for her. In a last brave action, Mitsuri will give up her life to save others and she will get serious injuries that lead to her death.
When she dies, it will be a touching time because of her strong commitment and the large price paid in this ongoing struggle against evil. The sacrifice of Mitsuri should motivate others who are fighting with more determination.
12) Obanai Iguro
During the Infinity Castle arc, Obanai Iguro fights to his last breath in the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, along with other Demon Slayer characters. After receiving heavy wounds, he bravely keeps on fighting alongside Mitsuri Kanroji. His persistent efforts are very important for making Muzan weak but ultimately cause his damaged body to collapse under too much stress.
The fight concludes as Muzan is vanquished, and Obanai succumbs to his injuries. Obanai and Mitsuri share a last scene where they both are near death. It is emotional because of their strong loyalty and love towards each other, which represents an end to the brave struggle against demonkind.
