It has been some time since the conclusion of the My Hero Academia manga. So, after some reflection, many fans have started arguing about the series' ending online, whether it ended in the best way possible or not. No matter what conclusion fans come up with, there is good reason to believe that the ending ruined All For One's character in the series.

There was a time when fans would have upheld All For One as the most evil character in the series. However, the manga's ending paints a different picture of the antagonist, leading us to believe that he wasn't the most evil villain in the series. In fact, we believe that there are three villains far more evil than him in the entire franchise.

Why All For One is not the most evil villain in My Hero Academia

As any My Hero Academia fan would know, All For One is the overarching antagonist of the series. The antagonist has been the reason behind many deaths and has caused suffering to people throughout his life. This began from the time he was inside his mother's womb where he stole nutrients away from his younger sibling Yoichi.

To top it off, years after he manifested his All For One quirk, he killed his own brother and nearly every One For All user. If that wasn't enough, he even ruined the life of young Tenko Shimura. Given that he wanted someone young to transfer his consciousness, he organized Tenko's life.

All For One gave Tenko the Decay Quirk and manipulated events in such a way that the young boy would end up killing his entire family and destroying his family home, leaving him homeless. This is when he introduced himself into his life and raised him as his son Shigaraki Tomura. He wanted to rule forever as an immortal Demon Lord. Such intentions and actions could have made him the most evil villain in the series if it weren't for the ending.

As per the ending, All For One was just a pure evil wannabe. He could not accept that he genuinely loved his brother and missed him. Hence, he spent his life trying to obtain One For All Quirk, hoping to reunite with his brother possibly through their vestiges.

As for the villains who might be more evil than All For One are namely, Dark Might, Kuin Hachisuka, and Flect Turn.

Dark Might was truly the opposite of All Might in every way. He murdered his own father because he pointed out that he could not succeed All Might. He killed everyone at the Scervino mansion and kidnapped Anna Scervino. He didn't even treat his subordinates correctly as he would kill them at the drop of a hat.

Moreover, he planned to destroy the U.A. High School just so that he could spite All Might. His entire plan was to simply mimic All Might and rule the world as a mob boss, making him one of the most heartless villains in the series.

Kuin Hachisuka was a villain from My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. While she never reached the level of impact as compared to All For One and Dark Might, she was truly more evil than the two. She infected civilians and caused them to go on a rampage. Not just that, she also tried to push Stain to murder teenagers and ruin Koichi's life. The questionable part is that she had no tragic past but simply indulged in evil because she liked to.

As for Flect Turn, he was from My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission. He was a genocidal villain who believed in the Quirk Singularity Doomsday Theory and aimed to eliminate Quirks from the world. However, for this mission, he did not mind killing quirkless people and was going to kill 80% of the world's population. While he did have a tragic past, his goals were more heinous than others, making him more evil than All For One.

This is why we believe despite All For One's status as the antagonist of the series, he was far less evil than some of the other villains from the franchise.
