Since then, Alya has convinced herself that she will not rely on anyone. Fast-forward to her high school days, Alya met Masachika Kuze. Initially, she felt Masachika was a "slacker." However, when the boy helped organize the Seirei High School's annual event, she realized that someone besides her shared the same vision.

Masachika also told her that group projects aren't fun if they aren't done by the collective. As such, he suggested Alya spend her energy convincing people rather than do everything on her own. Later, at the after-party, Alya apologized to Masachika and told him he could ask her anything.

The boy recalled a Russian custom where people call each other by special nicknames. That's how Masachika learned Alisa Mikhailovna Kujo's nickname, Alya. After the flashback, the episode returns to the present. Maria feels Alya and Masachika are a perfect match.

The next day, Masachika Kuze goes to the Student Council to fill in for Suou Yuki. He meets Maria, who suggests he go shopping with her. However, before that, Masachika and Maria share a moment as the latter holds the boy's hand and gets lost in his eyes.
