Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian episode 4 recap

Masachika Kuze and Maria return to the student council office after shopping and meet Kenzaki, the president. Kenzaki praises Masachika and asks whether he has changed his mind about joining the council. The protagonist feels he doesn't have a sound goal or aspiration to join.

However, Kenzaki reminds him that he doesn't need a lofty ideal to join the team. The bespectacled boy recounts his past, explaining how he changed himself and became the president to win the heart of his crush.

During the conversation, Kenzaki informs Kuze that he has sent Alya to resolve a dispute between the football and baseball clubs since the vice president is absent. While he feels it'll be a good experience for the girl, he is worried she may get into trouble.

The episode then shifts the focus to Alya trying to resolve the conflict. She suggests one of the teams use the school's riverside ground for practice. However, she realizes that no one is listening to her.

The girl feels she can't inspire anyone, especially because she has kept pushing people away throughout her life. Overwhelmed by the situation, Alya faintly cries for help in Russain. At that moment, Masachika Kuze arrives and confidently resolves the dispute.

Later, Kenzaki asks Kuze whether he has decided to join the student council, to which he says yes. While returning home, Alya asks Masachika whether he has joined the council to run in the presidential election with Yuki.

Alya firmly says that even if she has to go against Kuze in the election, she will do it because it's her dream. The silver-haired girl's words resonate with Masachika, who assures the girl that he will do everything in his power to help her win the election.

Overwhelmed with emotions, Alya confesses her feelings of love in Russian. Suddenly, Kuze recalls a moment he shared with the blonde Russian girl in childhood. Alya asks whether he's thinking about some other girl. She slaps him hard but later kisses him on his cheeks.

Meanwhile, Maria returns home and gifts Alya the stuffed toy. The girl adds that she has met Masachika, whom she thinks is a loving boy. The episode ends with Maria warning Alya that she should hurry up and tell Masachika how she feels before someone else does.
