Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian episode 5 recap

The episode begins with Masachika Kuze recalling the conversation he had with Alya while returning home. He wonders whether Alya truly loves her, but soon discards such thoughts. Masachika remembers his childhood and feels he shouldn't think about the flimsy concept of "love."

After returning home, the boy notices Yuki Suou in a bathrobe. The episode reveals that she wanted to enact a "fan service" moment with Masachika, where an older brother walks in on her sister while changing clothes.

Yuki then goes to Masachika's room, where the latter reveals to her that he has joined the Student Council to make Alya the next president. Surprisingly, Yuki doesn't appear disappointed but rather throws tantrums saying that Alya has stolen his brother.

Yuki also teases his brother, recalling an embarrassing moment she shared with him in the past. Later, after exiting his room, the girl reveals her actual emotions. While she's glad that his brother has found someone who can motivate him, she's upset that it's not her.

The episode then switches the location to Seirei High, where Alya observes Masachika Kuze in a different light. She wonders whether the boy has begun changing his habits for her. At the school's practice auditorium, Masachika gets injured by a volleyball.

Later, Alya checks in on him to see whether he's hurt or has a fever. Seeing Alya up close makes Masachika slightly embarrassed, as he recalls Yuki commenting on the silver-haired girl's appearance.

Nevertheless, Alya learns later that Masachika has been acting strange because he skipped his breakfast. Later, the duo goes to the Student Council room, where they meet Chisaki Sarashina, the vice president & Kenzaki's girlfriend.

She shares a lovely moment with Kenzaku, which makes Alya and Masachika gush over them. After that, Kenzaki formally begins the Student Council meeting, where Masachika Kuze introduces himself, and states that he intends to be a running partner for Alya in the next presidential election.
