Ameku Takao's Detective Karte episode 1 opening events
Ameku Takao's Detective Karte episode 1 started with a monologue by Takao Ameku about one's analytical abilities. The focus then shifted to the Emergency room of Tenikai General Hospital, where a young boy was brought in due to the severity of his symptoms.
The boy's mother frantically explained that her son's condition was getting worse, especially since none of the other medical clinics could figure out what was wrong with him. His symptoms included extreme vertigo, nausea, headache, fatigue, and tenderness in the extremities. However, the abnormality of his case perplexed even the supervising physician, Yu Takanashi, and his subordinate, Mai Konoike.
Additionally, there was another patient, whose case of unusual abdominal pain left Takanashi unable to provide a diagnosis. Fortunately for them, Takao Ameku, the director of the Department of Investigative Pathology and Takanashi's supervisor, showed up shortly afterward and helped them with the diagnosis.

Apparently, Takao was there to pick Takanashi up since his shift was almost over. However, given that he had yet to diagnose the two patients he had examined, Takanashi insisted upon staying for a bit longer.
To ensure that her subordinate clocks out in time for their "study session", Takao decided to help him with the diagnosis. After examining the first patient (the young boy) for a while, Takao deduced that the boy was suffering from Hypervitaminosis A, a condition which is caused due to excessive intake of Vitamin A, which can lead to toxic levels in the body.
With her sheer observation skills, Takao was also able to figure out that the condition was caused by due to the boy's mother feeding him blueberry snacks and Vitamin A supplements over the recommended limit.
As for the patient with the abdominal pain, Takao diagnosed him with Anisakiasis, a parasitic infection that was caused due to the patient consuming a raw sardine fish he had caught earlier that day. She was able to come to this conclusion with her acute observation and deduction skills as well.

After providing an accurate diagnosis for both patients, Takao wanted to begin her study session with Takanashi as scheduled. During this "study session", Takao introduced her subordinate to critically acclaimed movies like Jurassic Park, which he claimed to have never seen.
However, their plans came to a sudden halt when Takanashi got a call from the paramedics, who said that they were bringing a man into the Emergency room whose lower left leg was severed.
After the man was brought in, almost everyone was shocked to see the unusual nature of his injury, especially since a bizarre blue liquid seemed to be oozing from his wound. Unfortunately, the man ended up passing away shortly upon his arrival.
That being said, the physicians soon made a shocking discovery that the blue liquid oozing from the man's injury was his own blood - prompting Takao Ameku to begin investigating the case on her own.
The focus of Ameku Takao's Detective Karte episode 1 then shifted to Ryuya Naruse, a detective from the Tanashi Police station, telling Takao to back off from the investigation since it could be a murder case. However, this only prompted Takao to dig deeper into the case, which led to her uncle, the Medical Director of the hospital, to intervene and order her to stop investigating the man's death.
Unwilling to let go of such an interesting case, Takao forced Takanashi to help her with her investigation. The next night, the duo set out during the night to continue their investigation, only to come across Kimiyasu Sakurai, a homicide specialist of the Metropolitan Police, and Ryuya Naruse in front of a convenience store.
Ameku Takao's Detective Karte episode 1 closing events
Immediately after noticing the two detectives, Takao knew that they were out investigating the case of the man with blue blood as well. As such, in order to be included in the investigation, Takao proposed a deal - she would help the detectives out with their investigation in exchange for valuable information about the case.
Following this, Takao led the detectives to Kurume Lake Park, which was close to the construction site where the blue-blooded man was found. Since the man's injury suggested that his leg was bitten off by a large beast, Takao led Takanashi and the detectives to an exhibit of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, claiming that it was involved with the man's murder. With this, Ameku Takao's Detective Karte episode 1 came to an end.
