Most anime characters are generally known for their "never give up" personalities. However, some anime series tend to have one or more characters who carry the exact opposite personality, i.e., rather than not giving up during difficult situations, they give up the moment they get a whiff of it.

Such anime characters are often introduced for comic relief and complete their objective dutifully. However, these characters are also the most fun to watch as they bring in emotions that people should generally feel in those situations. Moreover, it is enjoyable to watch them overcome their fears and show courage when the push comes to shove.

Thus, here we shall look at seven anime characters who give up too quickly.

Zenitsu, Bokuto, and five other anime characters who give up too quickly

1) Usopp

Usopp from One Piece is one of the foremost anime characters when it comes to giving up quickly. This is because unlike most of his crewmates, he isn't blessed with immense strength or Devil Fruit powers, making him a normal human being with absurd ability as a sniper.

As far as giving up is concerned, Usopp is the first to suggest his crew flee in every bad situation. He is so quick to give up that he does not even wait to learn the full gravity of a given situation. His level of negativity was truly brought to light when Perona's negative hollow fell weak against Usopp's negativity.

2) Sekke Bronzazza

Sekke Bronzazza from Black Clover is an anime character very similar to Usopp when it comes to giving up. But unlike the Straw Hat Pirate, the Green Mantis Magic Knight is considered even bigger a swindle as he would willingly leave his comrades behind as long as he can keep himself safe.

The worst part about Sekke is that despite seldom contributing to a fight, he is quick to take credit for the same. This is exactly how he ends up as a personal guard for the Clover Kingdom King Augustus Kira Clover XIII.

3) Zenitsu Agatsuma

Surprisingly, while Demon Slayer's Zenitsu Agatsuma is a quitter, that very trait is why most fans love watching him. Unlike Tanjiro Kamado and Inosuke Hashibira, who take on any difficult task without a second thought, Zenitsu quickly analyzes a situation and concludes whether he can complete it or not.

In most situations where Zenitsu considers himself incapable of accomplishing the task, he is seen abusing and beating up Tanjiro to make him realize how bad the situation is.

4) Kei Kaname

Kei Kaname from Oblivion Battery is also an anime character who easily gives up. While Kaname was originally a very modest and skilled baseball player, amnesia saw him change his personality and lose his skill in baseball.

Nevertheless, Kaname's best friend Haruka Kiyomine wishes for him to continue playing baseball and catch his pitches. Hence, Kaname continues playing the sport. However, the new Kaname is bad with baseball and often quits at the slightest whiff of difficulty.

5) Ginro

Ginro from Dr. Stone and Kei Kaname are very similar characters in the sense that they find their roles very difficult and often end up quitting immediately. Surprisingly, both of them desire to impress women but fail miserably.

As for Ginro, he is often paired up with Kinro to complete a task. While Kinro can be seen doing the task diligently, Ginro can be seen complaining about it and wanting to finish it as soon as possible. The only reason Ginro does not run from the situation is because Kinro will drag him back to it.

6) Kotaro Bokuto

Kotaro Bokuto from Haikyuu!! is truly a gem among anime characters who give up too quickly. Bokuto is the ace of the Fukurodani High School Volleyball Club and is known as the top 5 ace in the country. This generally means that he is a reliable player within the team.

Contradicting that, whenever Bokuto gets in a slump during a match, he immediately gives up, even asking his setter Keiji Akaashi and other players not to toss the ball to him. Fortunately, such events occur too often, helping Akaashi learn how to deal with Bokuto's tantrums.

7) Yuu Ishigami

Yuu Ishigami from Kaguya-sama: Love is War is very different from other anime characters who are known for giving up quickly. This is because, unlike others who give up on a situation due to their physical incapabilities, Yuu Ishigami often gives up due to his incapability to deal with the emotional burden.

Such scenes were often seen in the anime's first season, as upon giving up in a given situation, Ishigami would ask the Student Council President Miyuki Shirogane for a quick leave to go home as he wished to die.

These are the seven anime characters we picked. Do mention your favorite characters who are known for giving up quickly that we missed out on.
