The Anime Expo 2024 full schedule for all four days of the event suggests fans are in for an exciting convention. The event is set to commence in Los Angeles, California, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Several exciting series are set to have significant presences at the convention, such as Oshi no Ko, Suicide Squad Isekai, Re:ZERO, and more. Household names such as Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, and more will also be present.
As is typical of the convention’s scheduling style, the fourth and final day of Anime Expo 2024 is the lightest, with only two major industry panels taking place on that final day. However, the first three days are all completely stacked, with fans set to make some tough choices as to what to attend in these opening days.
One significant trend in Anime Expo 2024’s four-day schedule is the plethora of premieres and screenings that the convention is set to host. This includes Tower of God season 2, Oshi no Ko season 2, the I PARRY EVERYTHING anime’s world premiere, a Suicide Squad ISEKAI episode 1 screening, and so many more.
Anime Expo 2024: Day One schedule
Kicking off the first day of Anime Expo 2024 is a relatively light day with respect to key anime news, panels, and the general presence of anime series. Some exciting points of interest include several North American and world premieres for various series, such as I PARRY EVERYTHING, Plus-Sized Elf, and a screening of Suicide Squad ISEKAI’s first episode.
What to expect from Anime Expo 2024 day one’s most significant panels
Without a doubt, the most highly anticipated panel from Anime Expo 2024’s day one offerings is the Warner Bros. Japan panel, specifically for its focus on the Suicide Squad ISEKAI anime. At the panel, fans can count on seeing the first episode screened with creative staff from Japan present. This will also be concluded with a special performance by ending theme song artist Mori Calliope.
The joint SPYxFAMILY and Kaiju No. 8 panel is likely the next most highly anticipated, given the status of each of the two series. Not much is said about what to expect, but the convention's official website teases TOHO animation, taking attendees “through two of their hit titles with the help of several special guests.”
The Witch Hat Atelier panel is also highly anticipated due to the recently announced anime production for the series. Likewise, it’s teased that the Anime Expo 2024 panel will see “the latest information about the upcoming anime adaptation” unveiled by mangaka Kamome Shirahama and guests from the anime’s production staff.
Premiere-wise for the first day, Plus-Sized Elf is undoubtedly the most intriguing series, but is also restricted to 18+ given the subject matter. With that in mind, The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies anime is likely the most widely anticipated premiere on the first day. There are also some miscellaneous Crunchyroll premieres teased, but it’s difficult to say how highly anticipated they are without knowing the series premiering.
Anime Expo 2024: Day Two schedule
The second day of Anime Expo 2024 is where fans will see some of the more highly anticipated premieres from the convention begin screening. This includes the Arifureta season 3 premiere, Re:ZERO season 3 premiere, the One Piece Egghead arc English dub premiere, and a screening of “never before-seen footage” for the TERMINATOR ZERO anime. While there are several additional exciting events, these three are undoubtedly the highlights.
What to expect from Anime Expo 2024 day two’s most significant panels
Anime Expo 2024’s day two highlight is undoubtedly the world premiere of Re:ZERO season 3, the panel for which intriguingly occupies a two-hour time slot. While the first episode has been confirmed to be 90 minutes in length, this leaves the last quarter of the panel’s scheduled time unaccounted for, possibly setting up some new reveals for the season.
The Solo Leveling panel is equally exciting, especially when considering the fact that the second season is in production currently. Likewise, fans are excited by the presence of Taito Ban and Aleks Le, the Japanese and English voices for protagonist Sung Jinwoo, respectively, as well as some staff being present. While the panel’s description teases behind-the-scenes content, fans are hoping for some season 2 information as well.
Equally exciting is the joint Frieren and The Apothecary Diaries panel, with the two series being dominant in the Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 anime seasons. While nothing specific is teased beyond a celebration of the two anime series, both have been teased or confirmed for a second season, leaving fans hopeful for what the panel could reveal.
The Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II is also highly anticipated, even if it won’t actually see the series premiere at Anime Expo 2024. However, a significant presence from the cast and staff members suggests that there will be some major information on the series revealed here. This is further supported by the panel being described as “commemorating the highly anticipated release” of the anime.
Additional day two panels of note include the BOCCHI THE ROCK!, Blue Exorcist, Chained Soldier, and Blue Lock panels. With each project either having a sequel announced as in production or being suspected of having one coming, fans can expect each of these panels to feature significant information in this regard.
Anime Expo 2024: Day three schedule
Anime Expo 2024’s third day hosts arguably the most exciting of the convention’s four, achieved primarily on the back of the Oshi no Ko season 2 world premiere. However, other events, such as Dungeon People’s North American premiere, Tower of God season 2’s world premiere, the Dandadan world premiere, and more, undoubtedly help boost the day’s status.
What to expect from Anime Expo 2024 day three’s most significant panels
Likely the most highly anticipated panel in Anime Expo 2024’s day three offerings is the Oshi no Ko season 2 world premiere, which is set to be one of the most momentous premieres in anime history. According to the panel’s description, both episode 1 and episode 2 of the second season will premiere. There will also be a discussion with special guests Yurie Igoma, the voice of Rubi, and Shimpei Yamashita, who is a Kadokawa series producer.
The Tower of God season 2 premiere panel is also highly anticipated, and likewise, it promises to screen both the first and second episodes of the second season. Likewise, the panel’s description doesn’t tease anything else, suggesting that its 50-minute runtime will be exclusively focused on the premiere of these two episodes.
The My Hero Academia special event also doesn’t tease much but does confirm that several Japanese voice actors “responsible for some of the series’ most iconic characters” will be in attendance. While speculative, fans can expect these presences to be closely related to the events of the ongoing season 7, which will air as the convention takes place.
The first panel of the day overall is also one of the most highly anticipated in the form of the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Conflict panel. Voice actors Derek Stephen Prince (Uryu Ishida), Robbie Daymond (Jugram Haschwalth), and Xander Mobus (Bazz-B) will be in attendance and “revisiting” parts 1 and 2 of the series. More excitingly, however, is that the panel will feature a sneak peek of the anime’s upcoming third part.
Last but certainly not least, when it comes to premieres, the Dandadan anime’s world premiere at the convention is likely one of the most highly anticipated events of the convention overall. The series seems set for success with animation studio Science SARU behind it, and hopefully those lucky enough to see this screening can confirm as much online in the aftermath.
Additional panels of note include the Look Back panel, the Black Butler panel, the Blue Exorcist panel, the Kinnikuman world premiere, and the Dungeon People North American premiere. These events stand as the most exciting of the third day and will undoubtedly be what attendees and fans primarily discuss online in the convention’s immediate aftermath.
Anime Expo 2024 day four schedule
Last but certainly not least, Anime Expo 2024's fourth and final day is somewhat lacking in terms of overall anime industry presence. However, it does host one of the most highly anticipated panels of the event, a Jujutsu Kaisen panel, where fans are hoping to get more season 3 information.
What to expect from the Jujutsu Kaisen and Kodansha Presents Kamome Shirahama Anime Expo 2024 panels
While there aren’t many panels of industry importance on Anime Expo 2024’s fourth and final day, one of the day’s noteworthy few is the Jujutsu Kaisen panel. Per the website’s description, the panel will feature special guests Junya Enoki (protagonist Yuji Itadori’s voice actor), Shota Ghoshozono (season 2 director), and Keishume Seshimo (Animation Lead Producer, MAPPA). Likewise, fans are anticipating at least some sort of season 3 news given this presence.
The final panel of note for Anime Expo 2024’s fourth and final day is a panel with Witch Hat Atelier mangaka Kamome Shirahama. The panel is confirmed to feature a live drawing, a Q&A session, and a showcase of the inspiration behind the upcoming anime adaptation. While this panel will clearly focus mainly on Shirahama and her original manga series, it’s likely that some anime news will be shared here as well.
